Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course
About
Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, the Golf Club at Terra Lago was the host of the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. The club's impressive guest list includes Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. There are two 18-hole courses available called the North and the South. At 7,044 yards, Terra Lago's South Course is just barely shorter than the 7,060-yard North Course but they are equally challenging. The South is known for having one of the club's most unique and memorable holes, the par-4 second. This narrow hole runs alongside a wide canal that makes anything hit to the right impossible to play. The unique part of the hole comes as you approach the green. To cross the creek, rather than having a traditional wood bridge, the course designer crafted a bridge from an old rail car, which explains its nickname as the "Boxcar" hole.

Fourth hole on the South Course Photo submitted by William4478124 on 02/22/2014
Flintstone golf
Don’t play the south course. A very tight, difficult and unfair course. Dried out fairways. Rocks and sand. I had an unplayable lie 3 ft off the green. It looks like they just threw sod down erratically around the greens and bunkers and are waiting for the sand to blow in and fill the gaps.
No cartgirl on course. We were told there was so we didn’t buy anything to take out on the course with us. Washrooms are scarce.
We called ahead to see if the range was open and we were told it was so we showed up early. It wasn’t.
Fool me once.
Not returning.
Ok
Course was not that great . The rough had sparse areas and sand traps were very poor.
though the weather was perfect, the course was not good.. it's worse than local community golf course.
It seems no one care the course.
Pretty goog
Bunkers are terrible Green we tee just coming into their own. Enjoyed the layout
Not bad but...
Nice course but we prepaid over 100 dollars each, only to find out that neither the driving range or putting green were open. Greens were in good shape and very quick.
course layout is unreasonable, Fairway is very bad condition , leave a lot of bunker without any reason. Use two 40Ft container as bridge. Total very poor condition, is very not worth the price usd203 for two peoples
Markings
Although you have 150 6ard markers in the fairway with a red/white/blue cap to identify where the pin actually is on the green this was not the case at all.
This is a gert easy fix every morning to put the correct cap on the 150 marker but even after a week of bringing this up it is still wrong and not resolved. When I asked staff all I got was hands in the air and I was told to just drive up to the green and look. That is good for pace of play.
If we are paying almost $100 to play on the North or South course you should at least give the correct information.
Nice course, however the amenities need a lot of work
Overall I would say for the price I expected a bit more. The course was overall nice to play. However the clubhouse has zero snack bars open and the grill lacked a great deal! Be prepared to bring your own liquids and food if you play here! Do not rely on the grill to be open or to have any beverage cart service on the course while you play…….so again COME PREPARED TO SERVE YOURSELF YOUR OWN DRINK AND FOOD.
Beyond that the pace of play was slow however I attribute this to the North course being shut down for over seeding and sanding the greens……which be sure to inquire about this time of year before you plan to play to be sure you know what you are getting into.
The greens were variable in speed so it took a bit of getting used to. I think they let the more exposed greens to be cut longer than others changing the speed from green to green.
All this put together is why I feel the price was over what one should pay for such a course. Sure it has its history of being a course the Pros played in years gone by. But that did not justify the cost today.
However overall, I would play the course again…….Though I’d ask for a discounted rate.
To note…… the staff were very friendly.
