Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course
About
Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, the Golf Club at Terra Lago was the host of the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. The club's impressive guest list includes Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. There are two 18-hole courses available called the North and the South. At 7,044 yards, Terra Lago's South Course is just barely shorter than the 7,060-yard North Course but they are equally challenging. The South is known for having one of the club's most unique and memorable holes, the par-4 second. This narrow hole runs alongside a wide canal that makes anything hit to the right impossible to play. The unique part of the hole comes as you approach the green. To cross the creek, rather than having a traditional wood bridge, the course designer crafted a bridge from an old rail car, which explains its nickname as the "Boxcar" hole.

Fourth hole on the South Course Photo submitted by William4478124 on 02/22/2014
Hospitality could’ve been better.
Hospitality could’ve been better. Course marshalls cut the round short, there was still enough to finish our game but they were insistent on a 4:30 which significantly down paint the experience.
Wonderful weather and course layout. Needs some work.
Pace of play was slow. Fairways and traps need work.
They were having people leave the course at 4:30 even though there was plenty of light. We were on 18 so got to finish.
We have played here several times in the past. Course was not up to prior standards. Love the layout and challenges.
We will come back and give it another chance. They were obviously understaffed like most places.
Kicked off the course at 4:30
I’ll never understand why management here came out to the 16th Green and ask me to bring the carts in at 4:30. I had 2 holes left, and at least 45 mins of light. If this owner CANNOT afford an extra $30 for a couple of employees to work another hour to get carts in, they CANNOT afford to own a golf course!! RIDICULOUS!!!
COVID makes staffing difficult
I liked the course but staff were overworked and unappreciated. Amenities and what you would expect for food and beverage was lacking.
Associates we just trying to survive and starter perhaps could have been more pleasant. He was extremely frustrated and and made the first impression one that left a bad taste. I know things are hard on everyone but people don’t have to be mean about their approach to the guests.
Enough said. The course was nice and for that reason I would go back, pack a sandwich and some drinks and enjoy my day with the understanding I’ll take care of myself.
This course sucks
Worst course ever played in Palm Springs. Would like a refund
Terra Logo South
The worst course in Palm Springs, never will recommend to anybody to play.
Would like my refund for playing this awful course,
Awesome course, great value
Great layout, great pace of play, greens were in really good shape, and cool new bar for a beer afterwards. What more can you ask for, love it.
Poor fairways and greens
Poor fairways and greens, lacking basic maintenance
MacKenzie
Well laid out course. Conditions were that fairways and bunkers were very average in terms of condition. Greens were good and a challenge to read.
Disappointed
Fairways are in terrible condition.
Cart died on the 9th hole
Course conditions
Course has obviously had some sort of issue as grass conditions on greens & fairways were terrible.. o like the course but don’t recommend playing it until the condos are resolved.
Why???
This course is a fantastic layout. The condition however is less than acceptable. This course could rival some of the better know courses in the area if they would only give it some love. Rough is better than fairways on many holes. Greens are fast and very difficult to read. I recommend playing at least once if you can get a deal. Full price is not worth it. Staff - the starter is great. Very nice and gets people moving. Cart crew is great as well, grabbed my clubs and were on the cart before I finished checking in. Check in guy - seemed like I was putting him out by checking in. Not a customer friendly person.
Amenities - None to speed of. Played the course for three days, never saw a beverage cart, on course water is available if you dare use them. The one I went to had a clogged drain and the sitting water had who knows what living in it. There is no “snack shack” as advertised on the course signage.
So why did I play thee times? Convenient.
A little disappointing
The weather was great and course layout was fine. Many of the fairway bunkers were in horrible shape with weeds, brush and standing water in them. The tee boxes were ok and even though the greens seemed to hold well they were inconsistent. The fringe around the greens was poor with clumps of new grass making the ball bounce around if you tried to putt through it. The fairways were a mixture of dormant and new patches of grass and even if you were in the middle of the fairway there was no guarantee of a good lie. Overall, a disappointing round.
Not great
Thin grass on fairways, greens slower than usual, some bunkers in poor condition. Course has gone significantly downhill from what is used to be. Many students from golf school on the course, they need to be taught to play more quickly. Students cut in front of us at 10th tee. No Marshall’s on the course. We won’t return
Frustrating pace of play.
Sadly all carts had to be returned by 4:30, so the 3-some ahead of us started playing 2 or 3 balls which slowed our 4 some. We only finished 15 holes before returning the carts. The fairways needed some serious growth!
