Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course

Challenging outing for my 22 handicap but awesome views of the Coachella Valley while enjoying a nice round of golf

Range was very good — best part of the course. The fairways were sparsely covered in grass. The traps were horrendous— not groomed, little sand in terrible shape. The greens were OK.

Beautiful layout and staff was super friendly. Course conditions were not good. Looks like they did not overseed the fairways. Would have been nice to know prior to booking. Great hold rate but fairways almost like not playable. Stuff was friendly and greens were good.

Maybe course was hood once, but not now. Terrible greens and limited grass. Marshall pushed us with noone 2 holes behind us. Plus no beverage cart on the course and no store at the turn to get food.. Maybe a $35 course in these cond.

Very challenging course with holes and greens that require great concentration

Fairways and bunkers in very poor condition. Greens were OK. Signage around the facility is abysmal. You just get the impression the place has fallen on tough times. Pity - it clearly was once very good.

Played this course probably 5 or 6 times over the last few years. Fairways very bad shape. Bunkers grown over and hard. Same every year. Staff a bit over bearing. Keep hoping it will improve.

The driving range is closed on Tuesday and Thursday and when open it closes at 2 pm. We were told today that the driving range was open and were given a bucket of balls. Once we started hitting our balls a voice over a loud speaker told us the range was closed and to get off the range. Quite embarrassing.

On the 10th tee another foursome appeared and we were backed up for the back nine. The fairways have poor sparsely tufted grass, but greens were quick. Messy overgrown areas all around course and on going construction which led to poor directions for course maneuvering.

At least two staff members in clubhouse were rude when any questions asked. However the cart men and starters were quite entertaining and pleasant.

We played the south course. The fairways weren't in the best condition, but everything else was. It is in a very cool desert setting and well laid out. The greens were fast and challenging. We had a great time and were never pushed or had to wait for group ahead of us.

Play is always slow on this course and there are backups. They close the front nine early so someone backed up at 10 can’t play the front nine again in the late afternoon - which would allow more play in the later afternoon.

Otherwise I think the course is very a good one with interesting variable holes and long wide fairways and difficult greens.

A very good course if you could get around in 4 hrs.

Fairways are cut so short they are almost non existent. The grass along the fairways are much better to play on. Will not play this course again.

Course staff could use a class in customer service, course was in good condition not great condition. Had fun would play it again if nothing else was available in the same price range.
