Nice course...BUT
Pace of play and condition of the course was OK. The only disappointing experience was the condition of the rest room (I think at the sixth hole). There were spray painted gang words on the door, and the inside was flooded. The smell was overwhelming. It seemed to me that the use of a pass code at the door was of no use, since it was easily determined that a ZIP CODE would allow entry. I'm pretty sure that whoever painted up the door had plenty of time at night to figure it out and get in to screw the place up.
Poor Conditions
The recent rains in So. California wiped out half the course. It would have been nice if this app gave us some kind of heads up that only nine holes were playable. My foursome all felt we were some what ripped off on the price we paid!
Playing space too slow
The greens are green, but not cared too much. The fairways are acceptable but the playing space was too slow, it took me more than 5 hours with waiting at almost every tee box.
Good price
Course is a great course for all levels of players. Course needs some maintenance on the fairways and the rough. Mowing is not up to par. Pro shop was well staffed and very helpful. Snack bar was acceptable from Cart GPS at eighth hole.
Review
Played this course first time
Nothing spectacular just a average, and when we played, a very busy course
Greens were fine and in great condition
Dad Miller is in Great Shape!
Dad Miller Golf Course is in great shape! The Grounds Crew has been busy and it shows! The fairways are well sodded with virtually no patches for ground under repair and almost no brown spots. They were manicured very well. The rough could have used a trim, but then, it was refreshing to play it with slightly deeper than normal (for Dad Miller) rough. Greens were smooth, well maintained, and well watered. And the divot removal effort has paid off!
Saturday Golf Round
This is a fairly short course - our round started off well. Fairways weren't in the best shape but pace of play was good. Then we got to the back 9 and it was horrible - they must have been letting people onto the back 9 as the last 4 holes must have taken 1 1/2-2 hours. We had to wait for 2 groups to tee off almost every hole. I asked the Marshall what was going on and he ignored me!
Course Condition and playability
First time playing with my friend and it felt like we are on the line of fire of golf balls flying all over the course. Players do not have the courtesy to yell fore!!! In fact, one on the twosome we were paired with almost got hit directly on his head from short ddistance from another fairway. If the ball dis not hit the driver head while he was putting it in his bag, I think he wouldn’t be around to play another day.
Fun Course
Great value, fun course, challenging, several curvy fairways, some sharp doglegs, enjoy!
You get what you pay for
Dad Miller is a course where you get what you expect for the price. I think the slope is pretty accurate however the trees and tightness of the course makes it a little more challenging than the scorecard would lend you to believe. There is nothing fancy about this course, the greens roll true but are pretty slow. There are always people in and out of your fair as the course is stacked on top of itself. For 50 bucks, you get what you pay for and it’s always an enjoyable round.
Did not live up to hype
Overall very disappointing. Course condition was very disappointing and pace of play was SUPER slow with no marshals in sight. Patrons need to be educated on pace of play and allowing quicker players to play through. A 2 ball getting stuck behind a 4 ball without a clue is very frustrating. Tiger would have been embarrassed today for sure.
Greens and fairways looked very poorly maintained for the most part.
Course does not deserve it’s rating on GolfNow
This a good course for all levels of experience
My group was satisfied with the pace of play and also enjoyed the course layout. I will be returning to dad miller for another round.
Course and Pro shop
Pro shop was very helpful in regards to shopping for golf shoes. Pace of play on a Sunday was challenging a bit. Fairways in average shape with he greens in good shape and exceptionally fast.
First Time
First time playing. Staff and starter extremely friendly. Course Marshall very friendly, kept pace moving even though course crowded. Greens and traps in excellent shape. Fairways ok, but spotty. Virtually no rough. First time playing course. Was ok, but being from Inland Empire probably not worth the drive. Have many less crowded, better shape, and less expensive courses available locally. Enjoyable day. Nice to try a new location, but most likely will not be back.
Dad Miller golf course.
The green was fast but in good condition. The pace of play was good. Tha fIrway needs a little work but its playable, so im giving thiz course 3 1/2.
Historical course
This is basically an easy course to walk and play. Well-maintained and affordable. Built in 1961 and designed by Dick Miller. This place has a lot of history. Gets crowded at times, course features a lake with lovely trees surrounding the fairways and can easily be walked.
