The South Course is the more well known of the two championship golf courses at Los Serranos Country Club. The course has a reputation for being one of southern California's longest thanks to the Jack's Black tees, which stretch to more than 7,600 yards. It is a lengthy test, but it is not as intimidating as it seems. The golf course is forgiving with par 5s that give you realistic opportunities to boost your score, though the course should not be taken lightly. Course management is the key to successfully maneuvering the elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course finishes with its signature hole, which is also its longest at 673 yards. A lake frames the hole and accuracy with each shot is essential. It is a playable course, but beginners who aren't yet up for the challenge can try their hand at Los Serranos Country Club's shorter, more player-friendly North Course.

Good Shape
The course is in probably the best condition I’ve ever seen it in several years fairways are nice greens are beautiful and hold well overall very nice
Slow Play Good Conditions perfect weather Slow Slow Slow
Teed off and finished 9 in 2 1/2 hours waited on every shot.
Weather was great conditions were great with the greens rolling a little slow but very true. Complained about the speed of play in the groups in front of us and there was a 5some of inexperienced players on a tough course.
Had to leave after 9 holes, pace of play was a killer and I had to avoid traffic
Nice layout
A nice layout with beautiful scenery ..I like the south course the best because I like the elevation changes ...Course has been in very good shape throughout the late summer and spring compared to courses near the inland empire...My only complaint is the sand traps are straight up dense beach sand that are difficult to get out of with a full stroke..My favorite course being a mid 80s to low 90s player..

The course is good, green is slow, staffs are friendly.
Great course
The course is definitely in great shape the staff is friendly, the south course is a challenge but well worth it.
South is plugged and sanded
Discount due to greens treatment, the rest of the course was fine.
Horrible pace today
Took us 6 hrs to finish South course. Green is getting real fast with the temperature heating up
Watched more golf than we played
What a disaster. It took us four hours to play nine holes. Literally two to three groups on every tee. Don’t bother calling the clubhouse, they clearly don’t care. No round should take more than five hours, ours nearly took seven!
My experience
Booked through Golf Now. Upon arrival I was rudely informed that they have changed my tee time to half later. This happened to me during my last visit. They explained that the delay is booked through Golf Now. I had been a member of Golf Now for many years and I play an average of three to four games per week at different courses and this had never happened in any other courses expect this one. I do not need to put up with the staff attitude so I will not play here again and will not recommend to anyone.
