Castle Creek Country Club

This is the first time I play a course like this I don't know why they still open the course is dead the greens ha's more bold spot's than grass I just don't understand why golfnow has this course in their list very unhappy to waist my Saturday this way.

The course layout and fairways are in good shape. The greens have problems. They're working on it but there are still a bunch of rough spots to putt over.

I saw a good rate on golf now so I booked a tee time. This used to be one of our go to golf courses 25 years ago. I haven’t played there in about 10 years so I thought I would give it a go. Sad to see the whole place is run down. I played only three holes and was so disgusted I just drove back to the parking lot and left. I didn’t care what I spent to play there. I had better ways to spend four hours. Maybe getting a root canal or something similar would’ve been less painful .

The greens are shot. No resturant. Looks like the place is going down. No upkeep on the course. Sad

I have played Castle Creek many times in the past 8 years and never has it looked so forlorn. Fairways and tee boxes are brown. The greens suffer from some sort of fungal blight. There are dead trees on almost every hole. It is a sad situation in deed.

The course layout is fair and challenging for me, in intermediate player, 16 handicap. Even the restaurant/bar was closed. I hope help is on the way or we will lose yet another golf course in San Diego.

Castle Creeks greens(Fungus/crusty/cracked/sod layed all over in different spots all over the green) are the WORST I’ve ever experienced in my 40years of playing this Great game! The guy in the shop Never said 1 word how the greens were! SAVE your $! Used to Luv this course back in the early 90s

Cart paths looks like they are being re-done, but I would put more attention to the greens. The greens are in pretty bad shape. Looks like a fungus is swallowing the greens whole.

This golf course could be on the top of my list if better taking care of... Perhaps one day!

Absolutely horrible conditions. My first and last time playing there.

This course has a long way to go. It is recovering from a disease that killed most of it's greens and a fairways. It is years from being a good course.

Have played here for over 50 years.....back when it was called circle r Ranch......have never seen it in worse condition.

Not sure why.......money, water, old age, not enough workers.....maybe all of it....

Lots of good holes, but overall condition was surprising......

I live very near this course and have played it often. It’s in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Two temporary greens and all of the greens were in terrible condition. Fairways haven’t seen water in months. It’s criminal to charge $30 for this course in its current condition.

Played this course nearly 50 years but not in a year and a half or so. It's in the worst shape I have ever seen by far. Many greens in very poor shape with significant fungus. Fairways dormant as many are but it's obvious there is little upkeep the past year or more. We were told it changed ownership 3 months ago and owner has largely pulled course maint people off the course to remodel restaurant kitchen. I will take another look in a year or so but wont be surprised to see this close and see homes where there have been fairways for 70 years.

Greens are diseased and in very poor shape. Fairways spotty. Some good, some not so much. They are redoing some of the cart paths, should spend money on greens.

I played this for $20 and I am glad I did not use a $10 rewards coupon to get it for $10. It still would not have been a value. A major renovation is in progress. Looking forward to seeing it completed as this ol girl has lost her luster.
