Castle Creek Country Club

Easily the worst course in San Diego. Not worth spending even 10 bucks to play there if you can get it that cheap. It usually sits around 20-35 bucks but you can grab an afternoon tee time at other places that are 1,000,000 times better than this course. Carts are terrible, fairways are HORRIBLE, greens are the worst I’ve ever seen extremely hard and dirt spots all over them. I’ve played there about 5 times and I promised myself I would never go back after the last round 2 years ago. This time I can finally say I will never go back for sure I played 7 holes and left it was such a discusting course. Literally nothing good about it and I’m not a hard critic I just like to get out and play. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS PLACE IS STILL IN BUSINESS. Go anywhere else. I’m warning you. Terrible. I’ve never written a review on anything before and I probably never will because nothing has or ever will be as horrible as this course I felt it my duty to leave this review and save you money and time and loss of fun.

For a casual round, I love Castle Creek. It’s got short and long holes and elevation changes on the back nine. A few of the greens were spotty but overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was fine even on a crowded Sunday afternoon. Carts are clean and work well. The fee was low. It’s no country club but a pretty course and great value. The staff is nice and they have a full bar. Worth playing regularly.

The course was wide open tee time 12:08 Friday.

A few greens had some rough patches. Overall course looked good. Fairways could use a mowing. Sometimes couldn't tell if on fairway or just in first layer of rough. Pro shop clerk acted like he did not want to there. Everyone else super friendly.

The condition of the course is very bad. Lots of time and effort wasted on cart paths and the club house by maintenance people who should be out taking care of the course. I am a member for now. I stay because of m friends who still play and work there. LouAnn tries hard and is underpaid but needs help on the golf side. Book keeping is not accurate. Hope this place can stay afloat but looks bad from the outside..

Always ready to play this course; it's in nice condition, good pace of play and perfect for walking 9 holes.

got to t a few minutes early, no one on the 5 holes infront of us. starter held us and after 10 minute wait put a 4 sone infront of us.

just made it a slow round for no good reason

Played a round with a Hotdeal for $13. Value was great. Couse condition has gone downhill since the last time I played here. Greens are very rough. Played 18 holes in 2hr40min. Despite poor course condition, price and speed of play made for an enjoyable round.

The greens are in horrible condition, but it is always a fun course to play. Starter is a great guy.

The course is in a lot better condition. The greens were all open & a lot better.

The fairway was green & in a better condition.

Was happy to play in a fast & quiet course, esp. for the money.

I used to play here a lot in late 90's and 00's....rarely now.....it is a great layout.....but the previous owner, let it go badly....they're now recovering the greens and I'm sure it will be fine.....now that Fallbrook closed it's one of the few great old courses left in this area......Welk is nice, but an executive course and Pala Mesa Resort is very nice, but lots of slow play. Hoping that CCCC makes a big comeback.

Only 1 green was puttable. The rest were pocked with disease or winter kill. Not good.

Haven't played here in more than a year. Greens were terrible!!! on front side at least 5 of 9 were diseased and not puttable. balls were bumping all over the place, even from inside 10 feet.

Will NEVER come back until ownership puts some money into the greens rather than building new cement cart paths!!!!

we played our round in just over 3 hours which was great. Course in fair shape seeing no rain for a while. also has a few interesting holes.

Greens weren't in good shape, fairways ok for winter but they are working on improvements. Will go back in the spring- they are upgrading.

For $25 you really can't go wrong here. Course was in fair condition. Some greens were pretty beat up and two greens had temporary greens. Pace of play was very good...18 in 4 hours with a fair amount of waiting, too! The bar area is okay. Decent selection of craft beers and what food I had was good. Staff all around were very nice.

The greens got much much better than about a couple months ago. The fairway got better too. It was obvious they were working on the greens repair.
