Castle Creek Country Club

We have played this course at least a dozen times over the past several years. the last time was May or June of this year. The course was in excellent shape. Then we played it on sept. 19, 2017. The course was in terrible shape. It was like they quit taking care of it because of an impending" sale or something. I reported our displeasure to the "man behind the counter". Most all greens had a "Fungus", impossible to putt. The areas around the green were over-grown and needed to be cut. The areas adjacent to the "dry" creek, were allowed to be overgrown. I could go on and on. The last time we'll play there this year!

If they don't fix the greens and traps it will be the last time I or many others will play there again

An acquaintance recommended me this course, so I went and... to be sad by looking at the conditions of the greens, mainly the first 9. Absolutely Terrible!, with uncountable patches.. see pictures below.

Never again will be there, unless they put some money into it and fix it.. It would be nice if they did not mislead people by posting beautiful pictures of the place.. So may dry areas is pathetic

Paid and played on time, but they did not mark us us as showing up, and Golf Now billed us again. Called course and after much hoop jumping, they said they had gotten Golf Now to credit me, but still have not received credit. Bad experience from course and Golf Now.

Greens are unplayable!! Course must be closing down soon!

The greens are dying! which is so sad, as the track offers a variety of shots, open and narrow off the tee, water, traps - really use to look forward to the trip here but it'll need a great deal of TLC to not become more housing

I love the layout of the course. It is Classic. Rewards you for good shots penalizes you for bad ones. The greens were torn up from a fungus on a couplet of holes, but the staff warned me before I paid. Good inexpensive course to work on your game.

Good value for play on a Sunday with the cart. The greens are recovering from a fungus. But they rolled just fine.

Most greens are in terrible shape: Fairways not much better. We have played this course on visits to Escondido area for years. Really has gone downhill the last few years

Weather has been tough on the course but satisfied overall on my first visit.

We played our round in 2.5 hours. But, this course is in terrible condition and not challenging at all. Pretty boring and beat-up course. Just not worth playing.

I don't normally write a bad review and this course is one that I like to play. However, something is terrible wrong with the course conditions. The greens are atrocious. Crows were all over the first green tearing it up. It was soggy and full of dead spots. That same thing was noted on most of the greens on the front side. The back side had some fair greens but if I had known of these conditions I would never have played even if it was free.

Greens are a mess with only a little grass on them. One green is using a temp green, Fairways are not much better even though they are watering them. We played early first tee time and greens were soaked there just is no grass on them. This course calls itself a country club but believe me when I say it is not even close to being a country club. I keep hoping they improve this course as it is a nice layout but it doesnt improve at all. In San Diego County there are so many wonderful courses dont waste your money on this place. It is only lacking 50 cows and it will be a great pasture.

greens suffering from heat stress, some appear to be dead. too bad I live close and like the layout. if you want to practice from tees and approach shots fine. putting is next to impossible due to conditions

The Golf course was in good shape, most greens were fairly fast, all and all me and my son had a blast. Will play here again. No beer or snack girl driving around anywhere to be found...Plenty cold water stops though... .Excellent for the price!

Just OK. The greens were pretty bad. They had bare spots all over........from desease or mold, or something. Had a little trouble with balls landing in opposing fairways, and other golfers trying to play them. People need to identify their ball before hitting them. I live fairly close, so will play this course again. It's a pretty good price, and certain holes are really fun to play.
