scored well
My wife and I played here on Tues, July 25, 2017. The greens on the front were not in good condition at all. A little better on the back. this is always a fun course. We had a great time and stayed for drinks and dinner after. For 10 bucks each plus golfnow service fee a heck of a deal...included cart. Loved it and would do it again.

Needs work
This course needs a makeover bad. They really need to focus on areas around the greens, rough (lots of dirt spots) and tee boxes. It's a fun layout, couple driveable par 4. Greens were ok. Golf now price of 35$ Is ok but there are a lot of courses in north county in the same price range with way better greens.

Very good course
A few easy holes, a 625 yd par 5 into the wind plays really long, greens good, few bare spots here and there. No matter the course worth every penny. Can get hot, beware trees and creeks. Suggest white tees for most, black is for skilled only

It would be a nice course, but the maintenance is terrible and the speed of play too.
I love the different holes and the layout.

Dog track
The course is a dog track. Dead fairways. The gopher hole restaurant has dry rot and should be condemned.

Best Course for your $$$$
Golfed early in the morning with no one in front or behind me on a quite Sunday. Pace of play was the fastest I have ever played (3 hrs.). The course was in good shape and I loved the design. It was challenging and the back 9 was difficult. I liked the par 3's and the greens. So far one of the best value course I have played.

have been playing this course for 20 plus years.... the restrooms and pro shop are beat up and tired.... the course is in decent shape and the back 9 has some interesting holes
there are definitely better courses but castle creek is still a decent course and a value for the budget hacker

You get what you pay for
the course was in pretty rough shape. the tee boxes weren't flat, the greens were rolling at probably a 4, the bunkers were wet and compact, the actual holes were filled with water but it hadn't rained the night before
if it wasn't a cheap rate i wouldn't play again
