THE COURSE OVER ALL IS IN GREAT SHAPE, TAKING IN THE CONSIDERATION OF WATER RESTRICTIONS. SOME OF THE TEE BOXES ARE PRETTY ROUGH. THE BAR WAS UNDER STAFFED WITH THE LUNCH CROWD BUT THE EVERYONE THAT WORKS THERE WERE VERY FRIENDLY!

I played this course with a buddy. We got a all you can play deal on a Friday. Showed up and was greeted by a friendly staff. Got sent out right away with no issues. Course is in good shape in drought conditions. First round was played in 3 hours! Tough holes, but we enjoyed the round. Turned right back out for a second round and the front 9 were great. Second 9 took forever. There were 2 foursomes and 2 twosomes that did not know how to play and backed everyone up. Last 3 holes took over an hour. But overall for the price and quality of the course, I will be back.

Good value. No driving range on the premises so have your breakfast ball ready. A little dry, but that's to be expected everywhere. If you get uptight about that, you're just a pretentious golf snob. Wide open for my twilight round 4some. Temporary green on #5 that is the size of a frisbee. Overall, it's a good course for the right price. Definitely will come back

play was very slow with 90 year old players in front of us, beer was old beer," born on date" was march 2015, so it was flat, course was very nice. starter was great, greens smooth, check in good.

This course is right off the freeway, tucked in Valley Center hills. Greens are in Excellent shape! Fairways are good, fine considering our drought situation, bunkers are the worst part of the course. Notice I didn't say sand traps because there is absolutely no sand. It is just finely granulated dirt. Overall, I would rate this course great for the fees paid.

This was a fun course. The grass was in pretty good shape. Staff was friendly. Teed off at 930 on a Monday and finished around 130. You have to carry your drive on a few holes which adds a level of difficulty. I'll be back.

This was a good course that has potential to be great. Due to drought, the fairways were a little dry, but still playable to where it wasn't rock solid. Greens were in excellent condition, quick and the ball would check if necessary. Some holes have very narrow fairways with trees and/or houses, so hit the right shot and you will be rewarded. Overall fun experience, and would recommend to friend.

Everything good, the course and facility. I played many times in this course before and been afforded with courtesy and friendliness. Unfortunately the young man at the front desk yesterday around 1:30pm got no common sense in dealing with customer. I came in hour early but nobody was in the front desk and waited 15min for him to show up. He told me in a rude way that I have to tee off exactly at my tee time and told me to come back later for the cart key. Fortunately keys are already in the carts and a staff outside told me to grab a cart anyway. I would give 5 star if not for the staff I encountered.

I HAVE NOT PLAYED THIS COURSE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND WAS DISAPPOINTED AT THE CONDITION OF THE CLUB HOUSE, FACILITIES, COURSE, AS WELL AS THE VERY SLOW PLAY. THE FAIRWAYS WERE HORRIBLE BUT THE GREENS WERE GOOD.

The course has gone down since the last time I played here a couple of years ago. Not sure if it is due to the drought in CA, but the greens were terrible.

Am not going to play here again.

Considering the drought, this is a good course and they are making good efforts to keep it in playable conditions. Greens are very good. Some bare spots on at edge of fairways.

The brown rough defined the slightly greener fairways.
Greens fast and rolled true. Some extra roll-out due to the "adobe-like" ground

Just OK. The greens were in good shape, hard as a rock though. Decent for the money, but the drought has severely effected the course. Bunkers are in poor shape. No real pro shop. Just needs a real facelift. This course reminds me of St Luis Rey Downs (now closed) but NOT AS NICE.

I have played Castle Creek for 20 years. Not the best course, but worth $30 or less on golfnow. Holes 10 thru 12 are the meat of the course.... stay out of the trees and you'll have a decent round.

Course was in good shape and really enjoyed playing it. Staff was realy friendly and helpful. Would play definitely play therr again if I get back to that area.

I figured we would check out castle creek because of the rate.We get there and seemed like the pro -dark hair short shaved white guy was having a bad day,he just didnt seem like he was happy we were there-genuine attitude.Just like every other course in San Diego theyre not watering.Im a single digit cap and these courses need their slope ratings to be adjusted to course conditions.These places with mid 120 slopes are playing like high 130 courses because of the conditions dry,patchy fairways,greens pocked with fungus.Come on get it together.Im beginning to think Southern California golf is dead.Because of the pros attitude I dont think I will ever golf castle creek again

It was fine, you can see the potential in this course. There was some challenges holes with trees and some really fun approaches to the greens with bunkers on each side. Overall it was a really fun day with a friend

This course is in really good condition considering the drouth. The pace has been really good, played the whole thing twice now under 4 hours. I will definately be on the lookout for good deals on this course in the next few weeks before the dry weather starts taking its toll.
