Castle Creek Country Club

Breezed around in 3:30 today. It was a holiday weekend so I wouldn't expect this pace of play all the time. The course is in better shape with the recent rain. Castle Creek is a good course with some challenging holes. Always fun to play here.

played as single on Friday 2:30PM. Some fairways have creek to carry and must have distance control as well. Greens roll pretty good. Will play again.

With the current drought conditions everywhere this course stands out as a one to play!

I was a little disappointed in the condition of the fairways however I understand that we are in a water shortage and that may very well be the reason. The cart paths are in bad condition. The greens were in good and nice and fast. Overall I will choose some other courses before going back here unless there was better price incentive.

Played Castle Creek for the first time in over 10 years and have to say it is still in good shape and very challenging. Holes 10-11 and 12 remain as the hardest back nine 1st three holes in San Diego County in my opinion. Greens were in great shape. Fairways were a bit beat up. Tee Boxes were all good.

The course id 15 minutes from my house with many other courses nearby. It is always a good value. Yesterday I teed off at 4:00 PM, and picked my ball out of the 18th hole cup at 6:25 PM. Great weather, two hours and 25 minutes to complete a round, that is playing golf!

Very nice layout, greens were running consistent, moderately fast. Fairways are consistent with not much water, but the roll is extended, so not such a bad thing. Nice marshaling, AMAZING!!! a 4 hour round of golf....yeah!

Reservations through GolfNow.com was easy..Check-in was smooth & carts readily available. Love the fact you can drive cart to car to retrieve & put away clubs...don't know why all courses don't do that. Course & greens were in great condition. Overall a great experience for me and my foursome!

My son and I played this course and were paired up with another two some and it turned out a day of great fun.

Interesting layout with the exception of holes 10-12, which are straight and narrow and parallel each other (so many golfers on the fairways it looked like a tailgate party). The greens were true and quick (don't hammer your puts or you will be sorry), and there were very few bare spots in the fairways. The traps were satisfactory - but the composition was more like dirt than sand which caused shaded traps to be wet and hard-packed. The pro shop staff, starter and snack bar staff were all friendly and helpful.

The GM is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. The starter is sharp and organized and will pair up groups to keep it moving. The course is well maintained and challenging but still fun. They have done great job keeping things green, keeping sand in the bunkers, and manicuring around. The castle is always a good choice at a fair price. It's a fun challenge from the whites, and a fair test for the low handicappers from the blacks.

3rd time playing here and overall as enjoyable as ever.
Tee boxes and cart paths need some maintenance.
Having said that, the fairways, rough and greens are in top condition. True greens. Nice variety in hole shapes and bunkers well-placed.
Pace of play was excellent on front nine. Unfortunately, very slow back nine. A walking 2some 2 groups ahead did not have the good sense to let a riding 2some play through. A very slow 4some ahead of them made matters worse. Too bad no marshall. Overall play time was acceptable.

I arrived on time and saw 16 players on hole #1.
Paired up with 3some and played only 15 holes and had to quit after 5-1/2 hrs on the course.

I have been playing this course for the last 4+ decades, and the greens as of this spring are at least as good, if not better, than at any time. Recent plug and sand, but they have now been cut again, and the ball rolls well. That said, Castle Creek greens are always a bit slow though better now. Fairways are sometimes a bit of a challenge since not every lie is sitting up. All things considered, this is a beautiful time of year to play there with the whole canyon alive in spring. Vivid green everywhere. Traps need sand added.

Good play club selection key on some holes. Some drivable par 4s. 10-12 long and narrow, decent course layout with elevation changes. Unfortunately no course marshals and 5 somes and even a 6 person group were allowed.
Would recommend to play for price and lunch deal.

Greens were excellent but the fairways and sand were horrible. Fast greens. Hard sand almost hit a house because club wouldn't go under ball. Fairways had very little meat on them to hit the ball.

Fairway quality is not too bad but greens are pretty good. There are some challenging holes on the course and a couple narrow fairways.

A lot of fun holes on this course. Well designed, if you miss a fairway you can usually find your ball and easily get it back in play. Super friendly guy at the desk....he could give lessons on how to greet customers at a course. Greens were in good shape but we're a little slow. Who cares, for this price you just enjoy the day!

Had a great day, but unaware of the aerated greens
and that is always a disappointment.
