California Oaks Golf Course

The course is awesome. Even though it's a bit short, it is very challenging. A must play. The manager Jan is awful, unprofessional and very rude. Very unpleasant to deal with her when getting your cart, luckily she said she's not usually working the pro shop so thumbs up to you if you don't have to deal with her before your game. Tee boxes, greens and fairways are very well kept!

Nice course the price and fun to play. The course is very narrow and many hidden traps that a yardage book will help with. Enjoy

It is a challenging course. you need to be accurate, but not long. The staff are all very friendly.

Course is short but challenging. Had a good time. Staff very friendly and had a good burger after the round. Will return for sure.

I normally play the whites but because of the shorter length of this course, I decided to play the blues. This was a bit of a mistake as the fairways are all quite narrow and some of the Tee shots from the blues were extremely narrow. Fairways were not great but the greens were pretty good. Lots of places to get in trouble so if you like to hit long balls and your accuracy is not that good, this may not be the course for you. having said that, i will probably try it again but maybe play the whites next time.

For the price we payed i cant complain. The fairways were just a bit rough. When you hit the center of the fairway you dont expect your ball to bounce 20" in the air and end up over the cart path. The greens were pretty nice though. All in all a fairly nice course.

I live pretty close to this course so I play here, often. Over the past 2 years, there have been significant landscape changes. What an awesome improvement. If you need to work on your game and don't want the next golfers breathing down your neck, this is the place for you. I'm glad it's close and the staff are always nice.

Very nice and challenging course. Very nice views and we'll manicured. Your putting will be put to the test. Hard to read and harder to judge the speed, but very fun. I had a great time.

Course could use lot of tlc . Fairways are poorly maintained . Tee boxes covered with divots . Needs money and maintenance ASAP .

I suggest you bring extra balls or be able to spot them in the creek.

I had made tee time thru Golf Now. At the end of our round I packed up my bag but by accident left my glasses in the cart.. My bad. I called the course the next day to ask them to check cart 66 for my glasses. The person at the desk said no one had turned anything in. He said call back later. I called back the next day. Again he said nothing. I called back the next after that. A different person said he saw the case and glasses described. He would look around. He did look and called back saying he couldn't locate them. We tried to call management but could not get anyone for two days. In fact no one could tell me who the manager was for that day. Only one person really gave me any help.

A few of the holes the conditions are really rough but the price for specials was great and the course is enjoyable enough. I had to choose to skip a couple holes because of slow play because this is a course where often novice players are playing. But for the price I would go again.

California Oaks is a challenging little course that meanders through the hills of Murrieta with plenty of water and sloping fareways. The bermuda fairways were brown in January but the greens were in good shape and receptive. The course might be "too short" for long hitters where accurate shotmaking is crucial. I will play again.

We used to go to this course when it was called the colony about 8 years ago. It has always been a lower end course but it has gotten much worse. The grass is brown and the landscaping is terrible.. I'm not the best golfer but normally I don't lose too many balls.. If you don't hit the ball on the fairway it's likely you will lose your ball because of the tall grass all over.. There are ball cleaning stations every 4 holes (yes every 4) and a ton of mud all over the course. The only good thing about it was the price but now I'd rather pay $15 more to go somewhere with a better quality of golf.

I was pleasantly surprised with this course a lot of par 3 and 4s which make it interesting and I felt for the price it was definitely worth it, I'd play again

I was walking the course and had two party,s ahead of me by three and four holes. These parties did not let me play through which I thought was unheard of in the Golf Communiy, so I pass booth parties cause they were joking and laughing at the Tee and did not care about other golfers. So after not playing four holes u decided to just leave, wasted money and time. Next time will ask if their are parties ahead of me. Very Bad experience

Enjoyed the day at this beautiful course! The staff was friendly and the price was very affordable.

Played a quick 18 on Monday morning. Average course conditions but no complaints for $25. Some odd set ups on a few holes but forces/risk reward decisions. My first time on this course would give it another try when looking for another quick round.

The greens are decent.... But people don't fix there divots ,because by the time they get on the greens ..They re pretty upset because of the conditions of the fairways ......They need to seed the fairways .fix the bad areas and rope them off ...while they have this rain ..free water ...take advantage colony....It can be a really fun place to play golf ....I would take kids or women to play there ..
