Top public course
Definitely one of the better public courses available in San Diego, especially for the price.
Enjoyed a great afternoon with a childhood friend visiting and positive single company.
Would recommend!
Greens in great shape!
I play this course anywhere from 2-4 times a month. The greens are in great shape, which for me, along with affordability, is the most important aspect of a course. Not a long course but you definitely have to be in control of your shots to score well.
Mission Trails
It was not Mission Snails today. Quick play and course looks awesome! Greens rolling fast 💨
Course condition and green fee
This is a nice course, but based on the course conditions and walkability. It is not worth for paying $34.99 for walking only. The walking rate should not exceed $28.00 for weekday.
Looking good!
Course is in the best shape I have seen it in years. No idea why they stopped accepting cash. Ridiculous policy that should be changed back.
Screwed again by golfnow
When I made my reservation, I was almost positive that it included a cart when I got to the course they said it did not. When I went to go look at the reservation confirmation there was no notification of cart included or not included so I could not prove to him I ended up having to pay an extra $45 for 2 carts!!
First thing bar nor any other place to get drinks was open at 7 am. This course is in horrible condition. A 50 dollar course with cart at best. Course had puddles and muddy, and it has not rained in weeks.
Good course, good value!
I played Willow Glenn just before this course. It has some bare spots, as did Willow Glen. Overall l wouldn't rate this course a full star less than that one. I was pleasantly surprised with the condition and layout. It's not a flat up and back course with little challenge, nor is it a designer's gauntlet meant to challenge scratch golfers, while frustrating the average golfer. As long as they keep it cut properly it is a really fun course.
Good play time
3rd time playing this course definitely better upkept this time that I played and I'm not losing my ball in the fairway due to the grass height. Overall had a great time and would recommend.
Ground under repair
A number of holes have muddy patches or turf torn up
An easy choice!
Mission trails is my home course, I learned how to play golf here. It’s a fun track with a good amount of hills and challenging holes. I just played here recently and I’ve got to say they’ve either put a lot of money into course or got a new grounds keeper because it’s looking the best it ever has! The rough used to be unplayable and balls would easily get lost in them, now they look immaculate! Fairways are way better than before but there are still a few dead spots here and there. Greens used to be okay but now they’re pretty nice and roll relatively quick and don’t even get me started about the fringes. They’ve made a massive improvement on them. Overall this is one of the best “Bang for your buck” courses in San Diego right now!
Fun course for the money
The teeing grounds are hard as nails, and many cart paths are in gross disrepair. The layout can be challenging - you really have to plan (and execute) good shots on several holes here - stay in the fairway and get rewarded. The fairways are in pretty good shape and the greens are firm but consistent. Don't count on any bunkers having been raked - seems like the players here just don't care about that. Overall though, it's a fun course to play and the price point is acceptable.
