Coyote Hills Golf Course

For a round of golf during my vacation from the cold of the northeast, this course was a disappointment due to pace of play. It was a Monday and the course had two outings that they did a very poor job of policing. This cost everyone who came a huge loss of valuable time. 5 and a half hours later, I was just glad to be done. The scenic views from this course was the only saving grace of this round.

This course has been on my bucket list for a while. Got a great deal to play and jumped on the opportunity. While this course is beautiful for an inner city course it also gets its fair share of abuse. The greens were next to impossible to get a feel for from the foot traffic they received from the holiday weekend. At least that's what I'll chalk it up to. Also, one of the par fives was cut down to temporary green. I did not see a sign anywhere prior to this which would have been nice.

All that being said, I would play here again if the conditions were improved. Also, the staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately I had to stop playing after 6 holes as 3 other flights were waiting at hole 7 due to a tournament ahead of them. Since we had already almost 2 hours for 6 holes I had to finish as I had to catch a plan to return to Europe.. I asked the Marshal, the starter and the staff in the Golf Shop for a refund and I was very pleased that they understood my issue and fully refunded the greenfee which was much better than expected. All staff members are super friendly and helpful, the starter is even a funny guy making jokes that I did not understand... but overall, really nice people. I have played lots of rounds in the USA, but this is the number 1 staff! I come back again but will book a T-Time with more care.

The course is fun and hilly with nice views and great elevated holes. Great fun for the average golfer. From the Golds its an advanced course

Always dependable course. Small complaint about slow play, but it never changes. Overall a great time on a fun course. Recommended.

Well maintained course. Greens a bit slow but I heard they had some burned greens. Getting them back perhaps. Very mature with big trees. They have a fair amount of water with a man made creek running through the course. Very nicely done! Adds a lot of beauty and trouble. Fairly short but narrowish. I played from the Black. Gold is back one more. Black about right for the 7-12 handicapper. Fairly narrow with dog legs and hidden creek trouble. Nicely designed! Hit driver 5 times. Maybe only 3 or 4 times next round. A lot of elevation changes. One tee must be a hundred foot drop. Great views. If you don’t have decent control of your ball you probably better bring extra.

Fairways were neat and mostly green. Greens were a bit beat up from unrepaired divots but that’s not the course fault. Green speed was medium slow. Bunkers were good. One of the narrower courses you’ll play in SoCal. I’ll go back for more I’m sure.

Slow group in front let us through with no hassle.

Plenty of parking.

I wouldn’t recommend...pace of play was as bad as I’ve ever seen. We didn’t even get close to finishing because we were so back up on every hole. At one points we were back up 12 people...not kidding.

We called out the Marshall several times and nothing was really done to improve things

Great course to play for all levels!!! Going to put Coyote Hills on my places to play on a regular basis.

On a Less than 3 1/2 hour pace until until 15. Two groups in front of me was threesome and foursome playing for the Claret Jug. Other than that geat day for golf
