Island Pointe Golf Club

OUR tee off time was 9:20AM and we knew we were in trouble because they placed us with another twosome AND all preceeding times were also stacked with foursomes (no tournament they told us, just their "normal" practice). Each par 4 or 5 hole we had 12 people (three seperate groups of 4) playing on the hole. It took 2hrs 45 mins to play 9 holes at which time we had enough and went back to the clubhouse. There was no ranger on this course to keep play moving at proper speed. When I went to the clubhouse to complain they said the time was within playing limits. Really? 2hrs and 45 mins for nine holes?!! The manager refused to come out of her office to speak with me. They said they wouldn't give me a 9 hole rain check since I booked with Golf Now. I told them it wasn't Golf Now's problem but theirs for how they run their course. They couldn't care less. The fairways were in sub-average condition and the greens were the same. It is a shame because it is a beautiful course which has numerous ownership changes in the last ten years. And this management staff is the worst yet. Don't waste your time with this course unless you don't mind a 5 1/2 hour round of golf.

Island Pointe, (formerly River Islands) has a cool layout and no 2 holes are the same. Zoyzia fairways mean most of the time you have really good conditions in the fairway. Very friendly-welcoming staff, and course has good size greens and a joy to play.

I play this course every time I m in the area. Course was in great shape (especially after all the rain) much better than last year. Fairways was almost perfect and the greens maybe not the greenest, but rolled true and fast. Course is a little out of the way to get to, but worth it. Very nice quiet area and great round of golf.

Beautiful piece of property I have enjoyed the course of the years. Had some rough edges but overall enjoyed the course and views and the nature of it all thank you Rusty

Weather was great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating! The course was beautiful and greens were smooth and true. Will play again!! Thanks for a real fine time!

I selected Island Pointe golf from golf now. In reading some reviews on line, I was apprehensive. The course is one of the best layouts that I have ever played. The nature and beautiful views on the course are equal to a Pebble Beach.....different, but awe inspiring. Overall a great course with superior greens, a challenging and interesting layout. A 9 out of 10 in my opinion.

Great course hidden by the River. Nice practice facility to practice before the round.

This course was a fun track. It has a ton of character and some pretty unique features. It needs a some work, but I’m told there plans in place for this. If you’re in the area it’s worth it for the price. Hope to be back, especially if they improve the conditions.

Early spring do the fairways are starting to green up. The restroom I tried was still locked but again it’s early in the season.

Now the green, they were AMAZING!!!!

Soft and spongy. Great for early spring or anytime of year.
