Worth the Drive
Great course and a great value for senior golfers that appreciate the natural beauty and well maintained condition. Only suggestion would be to spruce up the directional signs (sometimes lacking or confusing).
Amazing course - you will be amazed and want to go back
Fantastic! I have played here for 15 years but not in the last 18 months. Today was a beautiful fall day and it was tremendous. The new greens were almost perfect and look like artificial grass. The zoysia fairways are the best surface it hit iron shots. I had 4 birdies and stuffed it 4 times off that turf. It is the most scenic course in E. TN and is a terrific value under $40. They are working hard to improve the pro shop and small snack bar right now. Is it perfect - no. They need some sand in a few bunkers. Bring your own sandwiches and beer. Kind of when you go to Sweetens Cove in Pittsburg, TN near Chatt. NO ONE will ever be disappointed going to play. They have rocks for tees and we played the "natural" rocks about 6500. The back tees are 7000+. It can play as hard as you wish based on the tees you play. Greens hod very well. Just like playing darts. A well struck iron will stop very quickly.
Already good but getting better
1. On line booking= quick check in and go!
2. Fairways and rough in good shape.
3. Course layout is beautiful and peaceful.
4. Greens are excellent.
5. Staff friendliness good.
6. Bunkers now have sand but could use a little more.
7. Bathrooms need more attention.
8. On course amenities need work.
9. Carts need to be cleaned daily.
10. Practice area pretty good. Putting greens on a hillside.
Love this course
This course is so much fun to play. It’s so interesting and what beautiful scenery !!
very interesting course
I enjoyed playing this course--two holes over the river and the rest along the riverbank. Cart paths in poor shape, but that is the only criticism I have. Greens very challenging with not many level spots. Most holes have slight doglegs with some blind shots. I would play again.
Wet
Too much rain today. Fare ways and greens in very good shape. Just too wet today.
Couldn’t play!!!!
I got sick and could not make my tee time . I called a couple hours before my tee time to cancel it and the website would not let me. I will never use golf now again if I’m not refunded some of my money. I would have definitely played if I had not had an illness. This is the first time that I had ever use golf now. I wish I hadn’t!!!
Pretty course
This course had some beautiful views. Several holes on the water and the rest with rolling hills, mountainous, and wooded landscapes.
Over and Above Service
Drove up from Chattanooga to play this Knoxville area course. Loved the Zoysia fairways and the way the river came into play on many holes. The greens were in great shape and had plenty of slopes to contend with. After a perfectly enjoyable round started back to Chattanooga. About halfway there realized I had made a real rookie mistake and left my phone and wallet in the cart. Called the pro shop and spoke with Dennis who said he was holding it for me and would be glad to drop it off to UPS on his way home. It arrived at my home the next day. Could not be happier, or more thankful, for his kindness.
Quality and Value
Played 9-21-20, 9-22-20, and 9-23-20. Pace was very good, but I was the first off each morning. Pro shop employees were helpful and nice. Greens and fairways were in outstanding shape. Tees were an A-. Rough was fairly cut unless you "worm burn" one or pop it up like a wedge from the tee. Cart paths were fine in most areas and needed a few repairs in others. I don't choose a course to play because of the cart path conditions or the rough height within a hundred yards off the tee or in places where I shouldn't be hitting the ball anyway. If you want a quality and value course, this is the place. Hope the owner will choose to keep the whole 18 holes open and running. It's too good of a course to sell or partially close.
STUNNING
Absolutely Beautiful , a great golf course. The Tee box, Fairways, and Greens R Perfect. Off the beaten path, but well worth the time and money. Will definitely play this GEM again.
Good fairways
Good fairways the greens where good but slow. The roughs were full of crabgrass and were hard to know how your ball would come out
