Island Pointe Golf Club

Course has gone downhill. This was my favorite course but I have not played here in a few years. Cart paths were in horrible shape. . Fairways were in good shape but the rough was extremely high. Greens were marginal

Greens were in great shape. Only complaint of the day was pace of play was very slow. It was almost a 5hr round. On the bright side. It is still a very nice and challenging course.

Fun, tough course! Rough was long and difficult. Fairways and greens were in great condition. Will definitely play again when in the area.

Overall was a great course! Had a lot of fun and some of the holes were challenging. Richard (kinda course security) was a little unpleasant at times and kept asking us the name the group was under. We were also told there was some “shotgun starts” at certain times on certain holes and we would have to wait on them if we caught up to them and let them tee off first. Other than this the course was really fun. Will definitely play again when I’m back in town.

Pace of play was slow. Group in front had an entire hole open in front of them at all times. Course was shaggy. Everything needed a trim. I think that added to the slow play. Still love the layout, just hit it with the mowers a bit.

Love this course, however, my only complaint is the condition of the bunkers. The bunkers are not maintained, edged or raked consistently which makes bunker play very difficult.

The starter told us “we are the slowest group he’s seen”. Meanwhile, the closest foursome behind us was three holes back. He based this judgment on the fact the “course members” were more than three holes ahead of us when they teed off more than 20 minutes before us. He really put us in a sour mood. It was unnecessary. Plus the course and the rough were unforgiving. Do not recommend.

Played most of the golf courses in the area. This one is near the top of our list for fun and value. Not a long drive from Pigeon Forge or Sevierville. Highly recommended for anyone at any golfing level.

Phase of play- hit or miss but normally good.

Course fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Rough was tough and I mowed. 5 to 6 inches deep. Great overall course - would like to see the snack shop open at the turn or put vending out there for snacks.

Course is pristine! You will love every second of playing here.

Other than the slow pace of play, 5 hours, the course was great! Beautiful scenery and challenging but fair golf. Definitely worth the drive out to play.

This is a great golf course. The rough is very difficult to play from. Straight is a premium. It was also wet so that made the rough even worse. Love the layout and I will come back. The price was incredible for what you get.

Course needs more signage of where next hole is. We went wrong way 2 times. Cart paths need a lot of work. We like the course, the layout and scenery there by the river. The greens and fairways were in good shape. But 2nd cut too rough and sand traps, bunkers, and rough around traps need a lot of work. We were disappointed that it has not been kept up since it has been several years since we had played there.

Fairways were excellent. Greens were excellent, true, and held well. If you hit in the rough, it will cost you strokes! The rough is very thick!

One of the great layouts of east TN however the conditions are fair at best.
