Awesome Experience!
Absolutely enjoyed our round at Island Pointe. The course was in great condition and lived up to our expectation. The staff was great and everything about the experience was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Nice conditions
Course is very nice condition best fairways ive seen this year.
This course is a lot of fun
My boyfriend and I played this course last week and it was awesome. There are bathrooms on the fourth hole and a food truck between hole 9 &10. The course was pretty nice it’s very easy to lose a ball in the rough grass.
Beautiful challenging course
Very challenging golf course. First time playing and would definitely recommend. Course was in great condition from tee to green only negative would be the bunkers. But that is a problem with most public courses. Overall great experience and played with a very friendly local, Ed who gave us great advice where to hit it off the tee.
Fun course
Course was fun. Good challenges and good views. Pace of play was horrible! Our tee time was pushed out 30 minutes because people were late and added tee times ahead of us. Group of 24 on a Friday morning end and would not let us play through or keep our tee time. 6 hour round ….
Very challenging
If you want to test your skills then this is the course. Conditions were great kudos to the superintendent ! Bermuda greens are tough to putt but fun test! Staff was great and very hospitable! Links course so food truck at nine was very nice with good food. Slightly o overpriced. Recommend playing on a cooler day than 93 degrees. The heather grass is not very forgiving so stay away from that. Probably added 10 or more strokes to my score. Fun day all around with great people!! Thanks
Fairways were great.
This course was a challenge especially with the two inch rain early that morning. Yes cart path only. Played with my three sons, so yes it was a great day. We played on a Monday and had to allow three twosome’s to play through.😕😀.
Love this course
The course is beautiful, coursing through the Tennessee River.
Excellent condition
Course was in excellent shape, pace of play slowed on the back 9, about 4.5 hours for 18 holes. Used to be able to look for an errant shot but now they've let a lot of that area grow up and can't get in to look for your ball, so it hit straight!! Food at the turn was quite expensive. I was going to get a hot dog but it was $9 so i went with a bag of small Planter peanuts, still cost me over $6. Besides that, course was in great shape and improvements being seen on cart path too.
Great Links Course near Kodak, TN
This is a great links golf course near Kodak. We had a great time on the front nine however there was a group of 8 guys golfing together on the same hole that slowed us down and we didn’t finish our round because of the pace of play.
Nice, real nice
Played 6-10 and 6-11. First one off. Greens, A+. Fairways, A+. Tees, A. Rough, B+. Sand traps, D+. Friendly staff and course continues to get better and better.
Noteworthy upgrades in course condition; better than ever
I am somewhat biased since Island Pointe has always been my favorite course in East Tennessee. That said, the improvements in course condition are dramatic; firm, fast fairways with no weeds; excellent greens, and the same wonderful layout with every hole unique and distinctive. It does appear that they have slightly narrowed the fairways making accuracy off the tee more important than in the past, particularly since the bordering rough is thicker and the more lateral rough (I got to visit there a few times) much more penal (you will lose your ball if you are too far off the fairway which, in my opinion, is totally fair). I highly recommend the course (again, I am biased), but you will not be disappointed. This is a unique and wonderful golf course.
Beautiful Course
While I’ve been playing golf for 40 years it was my wife’s second season and we both scored well here. Although it is a links style course the fairways are wide and forgiving. The greens are challenging but very well cared for. Great experience all the way around. Staff was terrific.
MLH 52
Everytime we visit the Pigeon Forge/ Smokies we try to play here. The course is in great shape....they have cut down a lot of trees along the river and the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. Good ( but challenging) place to play.😀
Beautiful
"I'd love to give it fewer stars because it beats me every time I play, but I think that's more on me than the course. The only complaints I have are the sand traps and the elusive, ball-stealing river monster.
Its remote location means it doesn’t have the heavy traffic of inner-city courses, which really helps with the pace of play. Plus, it's absolutely gorgeous. Better players will appreciate it more, but everyone should give it a try!"
