Island Pointe Golf Club

We played Island Pointe on 5/31/24. We had previously played there a few years ago, when it was River Island. The course was in much better condition. It is challenging, with plenty of water and high rough. But, it is a fun layout and the people working were pleasant and helpful. We engaged with a few other golfers, who were also accommodating. We will be back.

Loved the course as lots of running water as built around a river. Challenging for anyone especially if not a local resident. Difficult walk to greens from cart for older people like me (75). Fortunately I am not a local. A nice clubhouse would make this place top class.

When I first move to the area 17 years ago this was the premier course in East Tennessee. It gradually went, down, down, down… now it’s back to its glory days and beyond!! Nice job, Dan!

Great course,with eye popping holes.Challenging ,but fair.Great friendly staff in clubhouse and starter.

Will return and play again.

The course is well kept, greens are consistent, fun to play due to the different challenges in the course. Very good variety.

Course was in excellent condition and everyone was great

This was a great course located just outside of Knoxville. The unique holes and course layout make it special. My only complaint was the pace of play..5 hour round on a Thursday morning.

Beautiful setting along a river with lots of elevation. Tee boxes, fairboxes and greens in good shape, especially with the late frosts this year.

Love the course!

I do enjoy the layout and love the zoysia fairways. Greens were in pretty good shape but extraordinary slow. Teed off at 8:30 on a Sunday. No food ready at the turn. It appeared the girl working the turn shack was just getting there. I would play here more often but I can play courses at least equal to this one for much less than $71. Maybe they are counting on tourist playing here. would say in today’s golf world it should be about a $50 round.

Your staff was the friendliest staff we have ever encountered on a golf course. They were all a breath of fresh air. It made the day extra enjoyable! Thank you so much! Next time we are in town we will definitely head to your golf course.

Always a fun and challenging course with excellent staff. I certainly hope to return. Golf now has sent me a booking for Thursday April 25 for 2 players at 8 am. I did not book this tee time . Please cancel this and respond. Thank you.

I will not play this place if it’s above 70 degrees bc of how long it takes. You will be waiting 20 minutes between each hole. Great course though
