Empire Lakes Golf Course

Great course but lack of drinking water.
Someone would drive around offering free water.....when you could find him.

We had a great time on the course, it was in great condition and the greens were rolling good!

Only play this course if you are DEAD accurate with all your clubs. You could be 1 foot off fairway and your ball is GONE. Very little room for error on these narrow fairways. I'm glad I only paid $29 for my round. Other than that course was in great condition and the staff was nice.

NOT what it used to be. Greens are suffering, fairways are very good - do not miss the fairway!
May have new ownership? I have played this course many times but has been awhile since I have played there. Relatively disappointed.

i've played here often enough to appreciate the layout and the challenge of this golf course.all holes are different and present their own challenges. some are very difficult but fair if you play them right.i played with out-of -state visitors and they absolutely loved it.rumor has it that the course will be sold and developed.hope it isn't true.it is a gem in the IE.

In the area with my wife to see our son who plays minor league baseball in the Angels organization. Found this course online and decided to try it since it is so close to Ontario Mills Mall. Dropped the wife off at 10:30 and was on the first tee by 10:45. Tee tie was 11:04 but starter had no problem with me going off early. I found the course to be a pleasant surprise. Much more challenging than I expected. Course was in good shape. Greens rolled true. Hardly anyone on the course and I played at my own pace from the tips so I could hit more shots. Was back in my car heading to the hotel by 1:30. This is probably the only time I will play this course and I'm glad I did. Also, the lady behind the bar made a great bloody mary. I definitely recommend Empire Lakes.

great course. challenging but playable. great location. the feel of the course is that youre tucked away in a desert but you're really in rancho industrial area. cant wait to play again

went out on a Monday afternoon Twilight and I was expecting a fairly quick round. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The greens were a bit bumpy but the fairways and tee boxes were in good shape.
I thought i needed to come out here and play because I've heard rumors that they were going to close the course, soon.

This course is hidden amongst Rancho and you would know it if you were not looking for it. Great course and layout. Several tees to choose from and the course conditions were excellent for the most part. The only improvement would be the greens were inconsistent and need a little work. Still overall a great experience.

Nice facility. Nice course. Staff not so friendly. No course Marshall to enforce pace of play. Had a foursome in front taking way too long to look for balls. Course really is great for experienced players. Do not recommend for the beginner as I am. Will come back when I get better.

To get the heart of it. 6 to 8 months ago is the last time I played Empire and it was consistently n poor condition.underfunded Muni course. The fairways had more bare spots than my head. Designed by the great one and seeing what was offered I slammed it in a review.

6 to eight months later the course is in almost perfect condition. Tight, thick and lush fairways and greens the courses went through a complete change. little bit more improvement and it will rival a private club. Heck i does now.
Play it. Its worth every penny.

play on a sunday morning, pair with another single start at 6:30 , got done by 9:30 , tee box are nice , fairway is good , only thing is the green is a little slow , but that's fine with me , will play there again !!

Noth worth the money! For a fifth player they charge an extra $25.

Enjoyed the course. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. As an added bonus course has esky's full of iced bottled water on the 5th and 10th hole. They also have a drinks cart going around giving out free bottled water which is needed due to the heat. The day I played the temperature was near 100f.
Course is in excellent condition and very well presented. It is excellent value for money. I'm a mid handicapper (13) and my only fault with the course is that i just found it a little hard. I think high handicappers would really struggle.

Course was in excellent shape. One green had some issues with sand and being repaired. There was a lot of sand but the cup was far enough away that a good approach shot made it almost irrelevant. . Over all it was a fun round and I'll definitely come back. Only bad issue was the tilt that the markers were on the range. Laid the ball on an up hill lie. But I'll admit...that is being a little picky.

Tee boxes and fairways were in mint condition, but a few greens were a bit sandy. Pace of play was excellent.

This is a challenging course, with several water hazards and blind shots of various types. You MUST keep the ball in the fairway at ALL times or you will be in trouble very fast!

Also, the wind is a factor later in the day and must be considered for accurate shot making.

The higher handicap player should not play this course....
