Empire Lakes Golf Course

I ventured out with my wife (a very casual player) and our two year old- it's Mother's Day week after all. The course was pretty well maintained and not crowded. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They also had brand new carts. The actual facility is showing its age a bit but that doesn't bother me. All and all a fun place to play for the money.

I prepaid to play, so I had to play even though the winds were gusting between 60-100mph (I'm not kidding!). I should have begged for a refund. I lost at least one ball at every hole (really...lost about 18 balls). The wind was throwing my ball left, right, up and over. I had one tee shot go 200 yards out, then up, then back 70 yards...I was extremely lucky this ball landed in the fairway (one of the few balls I didn't loose). The "Rough" at this course is very rough...very easy to loose a ball in it. In fairness to this course, it's probably not this windy most of the time. Don't prepay using a Hot Deal from Golfnow unless you're absolutely sure the wind is under 20mph.

Ok the only bad part was there was no food on the turn.... there was a no call no show I guess .. but the it was a really nice place to play. Not to hard , greens are good and fairways. I will play here again.

Course is nice and green,. Maintain very well. Staffs are very friendly . Pace of play is great .

Very rude counter guy, Also Charged $20 extra for a 5th player on top of regular fee? Never heard of this before, Will not play there again. Course was nice.

I think drive shut is little closer for beginners.

Course played tough but fair. Keep it in play and you will be rewarded with a good score. Plenty of hazards to beat you up if you don't. I've seen the rough high here before and the course becomes club grabbing brutal when they do that.

Excellent course. Good layout. Fun to olay. Staff was outstanding.

Great course! Pace slowed down after hole 4 but otherwise had a great time!

Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was fast. Tee time was1:28 got done before 5:30. Only complaint was there was no cart girl.

stay in the fairway and its a fun course. get off the fairway its a long day.

This is a hidden gem in Ontario. Tucked behind a few commercial buildings is this really nice golf course with beautiful scenery. Course condition was excellent and the greens were well maintained. A must play course in Ontario California

The course is difficult but fair; but with the winds up like they were and an early cool to cold evening made for a real test of golf. This was the 2nd time that I had played here; but the last time I played the white tees and this time I played from the blue tees; which gave me a better appreciation of the layout and called into play chipping and putting; which fortunately I was doing very well and scored an 81 vs the last time when I shot 83.

all greens around water were completely covered with duck droppings and dead areas with brush piles. for $62 what a waste of money, this is a $20 course. nuff said.

I have been reluctant to play this course for years. The reviews have been poor and the cost high. Yesterday, a bargain appeared on Golfnow so I took a chance. I was blown away. The carts were brand new. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. I was so happy that I took that chance.

My round began after 1 PM and I was in my car by 5 PM. It was a Wednesday, not a weekend day. I would recommend this course to my friends and will not hesitate to play here in the future.

All in all, an awesome day of golf. Played behind a tournament so I expected a long day. Since I was playing in a friendly money game, had to hit all my putts. The slow pace of the course was perfect for my situation.

In the end, I won! Can't say it was a bad day! HA!

Course was good. Not for golfers that have high handicaps. Will be back

for a golfer of my level, this course is a bit more difficult than I should be playing. But it helps me look at weak spots in my game as well as take on deeper rough, and more drastic dog legs. All in all a good day of golf, though my score would not reflect that.

Beautiful day to pay. Course conditions were nice. Marshalls patrolling course but obviously not really doing anything since our round was 5 hours. Pro shop staff needs some education on customer service skills. Borderline rude. Otherwise another nice day for golf!

This one has been on my to-do list for a long time. I had heard that it was a top notch challenging track and it delivered.
Lots of water, nice bunkers and pretty fairways and greens.
As for the play? Well it was a tough one for my game. A good mix of hole lengths with shot placement a factor on many.

I'll be back, you should get out on this one.
