Nice Course, but $$$
Course was in good shape. A couple of greens (pin positions) were gimmicky. Had the group in front slow us down a couple of times otherwise would have been 5 stars. Ridiculous you had to pay to use practice area and range balls need replacing.
It's a Shame
To begin, I love this course - the layout, bunker locations, distances and variety of holes.
BUT...course condition is bad. Some areas get over-watered and most bone dry.
Would like to hit a wedge with grass under the ball
...not here!
This place to invest instead of reap
An excellent golf course with challenging and enjoyable
This is an excellent golf course. With its beautiful scenery and proximity to the city center, it offers a great playing experience. The main challenge lies in the greens – if you hit the ball straight onto them, it can be tough to stop. Therefore, it's crucial to select the right club for your approach shots, aiming to land the ball just in front of the green so it can roll onto it smoothly. The same principle applies to chipping; picking the right spot for your chip is key. Overall, this is a fantastic golf course that's both challenging and enjoyable.
Great Track
Played the blues, slope of 128…pretty straight forward and wide open course…water on 9 and 18. Greens are about a 10 speed, but there is tons of undulation on every green making it impossible to make putts sometimes. Overall a great track but $200 bucks is too much, sweet spot for that course is probably $150-$160
Extremely overpriced
The ones setting price for this course are delusional.
SAD
even though I made a mistake and got my days mixed up and a foursome didn't show.I was disappointed that I had to pay full price.I spoke with both golf now and the pro shop ,both put the charge on each other.I guess this is the way of the world, which is sad.I have been a member at tustin in the past and a golfnow member .SAD if I did this in my business I would lose customers ,nobodyis perfect
Super Overrated
I booked a foursome and one of kids could not make it because he was sick but they still charged me.
Sadly, the course is not maintained well and the pace of play was terrible. So a very bad experience.
Avoid this course
I made a reservation on GolfNow for four but a player got sick and could not play.
The course charged me anyway and blamed it on Golfnow.
To make matters worse, the staff was rude. They acted like I was a burden.
Once I started playing, I was disappointed by the condition of the course and greens. The pace was terrible as well.
Just a very very unpleasant experience at an overpriced golf course.
Not worth half what they’re charging
Great location. Nice people. Course conditions not worth half what they’re charging. WAY overpriced.
A local favorite
I played Tustin Ranch two decades ago in my early days as a golf writer, so I probably didn't fully appreciate its allure. It's a wonderful public facility with a big clubhouse that serves good food and an interesting, well-groomed course filled with doglegs and water. It's the type of facility every golfer would love to have close by.
Don’t play this course
They aren’t telling you all the tee boxes are being worked on and only giving you 10 dollars off the green fees don’t play this course it is a rip off not worth it
Beautiful day
Had a great time even though I just so happened to a day when the punched the greens.
Not impressed
I’ve played the course a few times over the past 6 years. This was the worse condition I’ve ever seen. Everything seemed dried-out. The club house could use some TLC as could the range. Doesnt seem like the owners care about their property or they are on a tight budget.
Rip-off — Stay Away from this Overpriced Course
Course is preying on people buying tee times on GN or other apps, as locals already know the course is trash and is under construction pretty much everywhere. For current conditions, at best, $50 should be the standard price. The SoCal culture of courses just ripping off golfers after covid is very evident at this course. — When the conditions are brought up to the staff, they are careless and rude about it. Stay away.
Green Fee as to Course Condition
Tustin charged $160 (GolfNow). A little credit to them for telling us about tee box repair on all holes except for 3 holes Informed that GolfNow should have informed us while booking but they would extend a $10 credit. OH JOY! Captive decision. Where were we going to go? In my opinion this "discount" was meager at best. Admittedly the rest of course was okay (with exception of a lot of wet spots). In my opinion it is just poor business to charge us that amount. I will not be going back for a long time....
Terrible, It should not be on the list.
The worst course I ever played in my life, the whole course was Under Construction, and Every Tee Box was almost 100 yards away from the original tee box.
Even the Par 3 hole was just 60 Yard Distance. Can you Imagine that?
I paid almost $180 per person, and this course was much poorer than any of the $50 valued golf courses. It was just a nightmare. Terrible!
Even the Tee Box was just like a bunker, and I couldn't put my tee in the ground.
I messed up my business, my business partner was so upset with the course.
(I feel like I got cheated by the Golf Now.com)
The actual condition must be noted before you list it. Actually, this must not show up on the booking list.
You are very responsible for that!
