Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Pleasantly surprised
We had a good time. Course in nice condition. A little construction and the pace wasn’t great (not awful). I’ll be back.

Not enough carts
There r 2 courses here, par 3 18 hole -Pebble
& Boulder ,& it’s too bad the par 3 was not made WALK only
Cuz they never have enough carts available until 5 minutes before your round if u have a mid- day TT
A real problem in the parking lot & staging area
The staff there r great & friendly, but they need help w the amenities

Nice public course
The course was in its best shape I’ve played out of 5 visits. The starter on the Boulders was very informative and had all the right answers to our questions why were delayed due to cart shortages for our 1:12 tee time. Hopefully management will be as intuitive as he was to fixing this problem. Besides that had a great day but didn’t finish 18 which we should have had we got out in time

Lovely place to play
The staff were superb, can't ask for better. Fairways and tee boxes were good. Some greens a little pock marked and bunker sand a little thin but not bad.

Excellent Course
We enjoyed playing this course. It was in good condition, the greens were good and the scenery beautiful .
The price was good and we will definitely play here again.

1/2 of the course was closed and no one let us know
Booking with Golf Now presents challenges when there is a change at the course and no one lets you know. We arrived for our tee time to find out 1/2 of the course was closed due to standing water. We would have changed our plans for the day if we had known in advance. Ended up spending 6 hours playing the back 9 twice.

Back 9 after rain
I had booked an 18 hole round but upon arriving was notified that the front nine was partially underwater and we would only be able to play the back nine. Back 9 was in great shape and really enjoyable. The best thing they have going at Cimaron is Jeff, the plaid pants starter. Jeff Breaks down what to expect on the course with a giant grin and a lot of laughs.

Every hole is the same
Although the course is in pretty good condition, it is rather boring. Can't really tell one hole from the other. And for $100, it could have a bathroom on the course, other than Porta pottys....especially since you don't go back to the clubhouse at the turn. So many courses to chose from in this area....will not chose this one again

Very few golfers out slight drizzle most of the day but reasonable. Course in good condition Greens played little slower than normal.
Green fees up fair amount in Palm Springs this year. Have few friends not bringing their golf clubs, too bad,
