Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Good value, slow pace of play
We liked this course, it provided challenges and beautiful views. Our only complaint was the pace of play. Although we played in just over 4 hours, we waited on every hole on the back nine and the group behind us did not understand golf etiquette and kept coming up pushing us when it was obvious we could not go any faster. Good value and we will play it again.

Slowww play
We had to quit it was unbearable. Took 3 hrs to play 9 holes. There was a group of 6 in front of us?? Will be telling everyone to avoid this place!!
Great Value
We play Cimmaron every time we come to the desert. The course hasn’t failed us. The greens traps and practice facility are in excellent shape.
The course is a simple design allowing simple back and forth game.

Great Conditions
Perfect golf day! Had a big breakfast at the course. Friendly staff all around. We were paired up with another couple. We left as friends. Course was in great shape. Fast greens!

First time here, will be back.
Overall, a great day. Finished our round in 4 hours & 45 minutes. And this was in high season on a beautiful Saturday. Course staff was great. All very friendly. The clubhouse is a bit tired and it shows, but you come to a course to play golf after all. Course played well. Good layout for the weekenders and my 16 handicap. My biggest complaint was the food service. Not the cart girl - she was working her tail off and was very friendly. But she didn’t have any food options and the staff/starter/greeters could have given us a warning and said something so we would’ve planned accordingly or gotten something from the restaurant inside. Or, the cart girl could’ve said something to the effect of - call the restaurant, place an order, and I’ll have someone drive it out for you. That’s the small additional customer service that goes the extra mile. But don’t get me wrong - still had a great time. Pace of play was backed up here and there but honestly, it worked itself out and on a public course it wasn’t terrible. Would’ve been nice to have seen a Marshall - didn’t see one all round. I’ll be back. Update the clothing selection in the pro shop - little outdated.

Boulder course
The course was in excellent condition, and enjoyable.
The pro shop staff, was not helpful at all. They didn’t even tell us where., The purchased driving range balls were.

Great Golf Course
Wide open course but not as to play as it looks. Fun layout and like most courses slow greens right now.

Vacation golf
Just opened for reseeding and Fairways were in great shape. No cart restrictions either so that was nice. Got started a bit late but easily got our round in. Greens were still a bit slow. Love this course and will play again next time we are here. Well maintained course and club house and proshop are nice.
