Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course

This course is great for golfers that spray the ball. There aren't many hazards so you can let the big dog out on most holes. A challenge from the blues for any golfers.

Good course. No trees, and frankly not many boulders, on the Boulder Course. It's a generic layout, but actually it was fun. It feels like a links, but you've got to hit the greens. I've heard the pace of play there terrible, but for us it was great at 3:15. Play in the morning and you'll appreciate the course. I'd play it again.

We arrived at the drop off area but no one was there to help. Finally some others arrived and we asked them where to check in. There was someone washing golf carts but never paid attention to us. Finally the other guests, showed us where to check in.

The course was lovely and in good condition but I expected more assistance. I am used to a starter but there was one. Seemed like everyone was basically on their own.

This course was recommended to me by a friend and I was blown away by how awesome of an experience I had. The course is as pure as they come from the beautiful and receptive green's and almost perfect fairways to the level and great tee boxes!! This course is an awesome value and totally justified by its pristine conditions. We finished in under 3.5 hours as all players ahead of us were moving at a pace were we barley saw them again till we completed our round. Highly recommend this course!! It was so much fun we were ready to play again another round but we chose to go to the casino instead!! LOL!

We selected this course as it was close to the airport. We come down a lot from Canada and I’ve played a great number of courses in the area over the years. We would never come back for many reasons. The grass was incredibly long. The greens were in rough shape, the pace was very slow and worst of all there was only one place to get water, with no halfway house no warning that they didn’t have water on the course except for one place. There wasn’t a cooler on the cart or water bottles provided . The beverage cart was only seen on hole one and 18. It was extremely hot and we were incredibly dehydrated for most of the round. It’s unfortunate to have wasted a day on this course when there are so many other fabulous options in the area. I offered my feedback to the pro shop and they really didn’t seem at all concerned.

Pretty straight forward course. Wide open fairways with no surprises, bunkers had real sand, so not bad to get out, and greens rolled ture. I played the championship tees (Blue) and shot a 77 and I am a 10 handicap. Mind you this was only my 4 round of 2025 and there was light winds. I read some reviews before going and they said it was a breast when the wind was blowing. I could see that because there is nothing to slow the wind down. My wife shot a 89 and enjoyed the course. One of her best scores. Don't forget to look around when playing because the mountains are amazing.

I’ve played here for years. I like the course and the challenges presented if you don’t hit in the middle. However the course is exposed, no shade, and built around a wash. When the wind picks up, like it does most days here, you need sunglasses to protect your eyes from sand. I’ll play it again when their pricing drops and no wind in the forecast.

Played for the first time and I was really looking forward to it. The fairways were cut way to high so don’t expect any roll out. condition of the fairways, Course was pretty boring with really no signature hole.. Most scenic hole was 17, a very nice par 3. Pace of play was OK and carts had GPS. Would I go back, no, but I played because was able to snag a great rate and if I hadn’t, there’s no chance I’d play it again. Much better options would be Tahquitz Creek Resort Course or Indian Canyons South.

Had a great round this morning with my friend. Course is in very good condition and the greens were close to peak. We played in about three hours. And then had a great lunch in the restaurant.

The layout was challenging but fair. Greens and fairways were in the excellent condition.

Very hot, windy and dusty this day, but that kept people away so the pace was very good. After round parked my cart and started to head to my car when a Cart Jockey stopped and yelled at me asking if that was my cart parked in what was clearly a parking area for golf carts. I acknowledged that i had used that cart. He then proceeded to yell at me and tell me i was required to deliver the cart all the way down at the cart garage or I would be banned from playing there again. Huh? Told him cart was fine where it was and i was not going to move it, that is your job.

(And then they expect you to tip them for a unsolicited wiping down of your clubs. )

I will probably not be returning to that course. However, the young gentlemen that checked me in that day offered stellar customer service during our interaction.
