Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Not worth it
Quintessential public golf course in terms of substandard conditions. Traps were cement and fairways not cut.
No real starter so teed off 11 mins late
Don’t play Cimarron
Everything about this course is third class. There’s little to no sand in the sand traps Maintenance overall lax badly. The staff is going through the motions without any positive interactions.
Avoid sand bunkers at all costs
Sand in traps was hard as bricks. May as well throw out because impossible to hit out of sand. Played on extremely windy day-dust storms off wash with tumbleweeds!
Great Value
Great course great plain conditions greens rolled true and at about a 10. Horse layout was interesting long par fours accessible par fives part three from the tips was on point. Wide fairways if you pick your targets.

*** Keep your valuables close and beware of the bridge dwellers not the course‘s fault … will be back
Pretty Good Conditions.
Played 12/30/24 Hot Deal at $70-
Was fairly busy for a Monday but should be expected as it is in season here. 4.5 hour round. Teed off about 10 minutes early wish was nice to ensure we finished well before daylight ran out. Fairways and greens were really green and lush.
Cimarron Boulder Round
Nice course, not too demanding, very few water hazards. Would definitely play again.

The course was fine . The starter should NOT be there . Very disrespectful . not freindly. There is alot of courses I can play dont need to deal with attitude when I am a paying CUSTOMER
Very good course but gets backed up occasionally. Cart very infrequent on the course.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food is good.
Fast pace and great conditions mid week.
Great afternoon round midweek. Around in three hours flat. Course was in very good condition , especially fairways. Will try to play again this trip.

Played on a Monday. Went off at 12:15, finished 18 in 3hrs 15min. Had nobody behind us and nobody in front of us. Conditions were fantastic. Fun track, will be back.
