Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …

"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."

At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Had a good, but shortened round. Only played 15 holes when sun went behind the mountain. Pace could have been faster. Weather was great! Couse was in very good shape, Staff very friendly. Happy Hour food was a great finish.

In great shape

The course was in great shape and with wide fairways and beautiful mountain views, was a pleasure to play. Greens were really good too. The sand, as others have noted, is pretty hard.

Loves the layout, greens were rolling true. Few complaints is no drinking water on course and no beverage cart. She fly by us once as if her shift was ending. Fun course, definitely be back.

Gentlemen setting up & taking down carts were friendly & efficient. Marshalls were friendly & let you know how your tee time was coming along nicely. Course in good condition. Greens were good.

It would be nice if cart girls carried sandwiches or hot dogs or if there was a snack bar at the end of 9. Driving all the way back to clubhouse for food or clean toilet is not the best.

Nice track

As long as it isn’t windy this is a really nice track. We were the 2nd group out in the AN so the pace was great. It looks super busy on weekend afternoons. Good food and service in the lounge and the course staff were great.

Cimarron Boulder Course

Our first time playing this course. The starter had things organized and gave us instructions and course rules. This course is quite forgiving with wide fairways, but numerous sand traps to avoid. Grass in all areas is in great shape. Nice driving range and large putting green with a variety of slopes. Porta potties on course kinda low class for a resort course. Would play here again.

ALL THE EMPLOYEES WERE THE BEST!!!!

The workers there were the best. All the way from the men who took care of our bags to the prs at the desk and even the starter and the waitress in the cafe were amazing. The were so accommodating. They bend over backwards to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Would highly recommend to anyone.
