Great Day to b outside
The course was great it was t 35-40 mph winds that was t challenge but we survived. Exhausted!!!!!
5 hour round
Slow play on a weekday. Golfers in tee shirts. No thanks
First time playing this course
A friendly staff and playable course. Greens were not the fastest, however pin placement, and quality of fairways were all in good condition for this time of year. Enjoyed playing the course.
Fun course
Friendly staff from the pro shop to the starter. The course was in good condition especially the fairways for this time of year. The greens were not super fast, however most pin placements were manageable and the roll was true. Enjoyed playing with a new person and made a new friend.
Nice Municipal
Very nicely kept course and facility. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Greens were a bit on the slow side but in good condition. I will play here again.
Great for$$$
Very nice track...... Tee to green ...rough was tuff but Jack Nic... Said we should not be there.....lol any one should play there
Seasoned layout
The layout is natural, some risk reward. No fabricated modules or unfair slopes, course is not tricked up at all. Very peaceful surroundings, architect used the lay of the land expertly. I do not find a course that uses the layout of the land like this within 100 miles of Jacksonville. It is a gem.
Enjoyed the course
Greens maybe a little slow but in good shape, bunkers all raked, course shows evidence of being cared for. Par 3s were challenging and bunker placements made them so.
I liked it here a lot. Most fairways were pretty open and drivable and I didn't lose a ball until the 16th into the water.
The 15th hole is an interesting decision off the tee. Pro shop guy and starter very friendly.
Birdiefischer
I booked 4 players on golf now. $20 per player. Once I got there found out they are having an awesome special on weekends. Tee off after 1230pm and a person under 18 plays for free. No food on the course. That is nuts. No hot dog at the turn was a bummer. No range balls by 10 am is also ridiculous. The practice facility is great.
Greens are overseeded and very bumpy and slow. For a county owned and maintained course, especially in St John's county, I expect better, even in early November.
Come play a quality course the holes are fair and the fairways and around the greens are top notch. The 15 th hole is closed for maintenance but the added par 3 was ok. Overall I would recommend this course to any one looking for a fun round in good condition.
This is a good layout
this course a a good layout somewhat challenging
but the greens were very long need to be cut down
they were very furry . Overall good condition
good value for the money
Terrinle
No food overbooked three groups on every tee insaw friends therecsndcwas told thar they couldnt play jn our group becausevit was a golf nowvtime only foy any price
New golfer
I have started teaching my wife to golf. This was her 3rd game. The course was good for teaching without being to expensive for a new golfer just learning the game.
Very fair
Playing St Johns was a pleasure. We have only one more chance for golf while here on vacation, and plan to play here again. It is a very good test of golf for every level.
ST. John's county course on a Sunday
The course was wet, buy playable. Greens were in good shape.
Price was yet. The staff was very friendly, particularly at the 19th hole.
Course Condition
The course is in moderate shape, but for the price and condition it is not worth the money. There are a lot of golf courses in North East Florida that are of better quality and condition to play for less money. I would not recommend for anyone to play this golf course.
Got rained out after 8 holes
Course conditions were fair. Greens extremely slow, appeared to have not been mown in days, probably because of rain recently. Expected play to be at a standstill due to overflow parking, but it moved as well as possible for crowding. Overall, not a bad muni course, but would not return if back in the area later on.
Nice course, brutal rough
We played for the first time. Great layout with lots of risk/reward shots & many tee box options. Greens were running slow & got slower due to rain during our round, but they rolled true. The rough is currently US Open brutal. The ball disappears in it and chipping / pitching onto the greens requires bold full swings. After a few holes, I got smart & stayed in the short grass.. We had a fun day & the course wasn't crowded at 10:30 Sunday morning..
