I play at this course all the time but this specific time I had a bad experience. Booked a tee time for 1:56 and was not able to Tee off till 2:30. They had clearly over booked their schedule. Went ahead and played and it very quickly became backed up on the first par 3. There was no ranger out to move play along. Seemed like a mismanaged day.

Played as a single on a perfect Florida afternoon. The staff is friendly and very accommodating! this is a nice little golf course for a county owned course. The greens were in mostly good shape and were rolling pretty true, fairways could use a good mowing but were mostly good. Tee boxes are pretty beat up, but understandable considering the high volume of rounds that are played there! There are some beautiful holes throughout with a Pete Dye-esque feel to the design. All in all, a good time. Looking forward to playing there again soon!

signed up on golf now as a single, paired up @ course with 3 "regulars" of similar age & skill level, had a great time as they helped me navigate around the course which was new to me. also enjoyed the numerous resident alligators who were out sunning on the banks.

From the fairways to the smooth greens this course is vastly improved from a couple of years ago. It's not overly long , but will prove very testy on errant shots. All in all fun to play for great price.

Got paired up with the nicest couple and we had a blast. I will be playing in the Tourney they have on the 1st.

Haven't played the course in several years and was a joy to play. Had all levels of players in our foursome and everyone found it challenging but fun to play. The greens were pristine and fast. We will definitely be back to play it again. Play was a little slow with 2 groups of only 2 in front of us. They should have played together to keep the pace us.

I really enjoyed playing here. It is a relatively easy course, at least until the greens, which have a fair amount of undulation and tiering. The greens were in very good condition, and the fairways were in good condition especially considering that it is a reasonably priced course. Ideally there would have been a yardage book available, and I would come back more often if walking were allowed before 3pm, but it was fun regardless and I will return.

St.Johns is a terrific value. Interesting layout, friendly staff. What makes this course unique is the amazing quality of the greens. Super smooth putting surfaces. Don't know how they keep them this nice, but a treat for players. Greens were running at 13, unbelievable for a Florida golf club. Best greens in the area.

This course is a great course especially considering the price paid. The course is in nice shape especially on the greens. I have played heretwice and will likely become a regular.

Great course for beginners or intermediate. We the like the course and it's staffing.

Nice course, good shape for the time of year, it's a pity, that the course was reduced to 18 holes

But for a rather slow pace of play, this was a pretty enjoyable round of golf. My wife and I paired up with a couple of local fellows, but had to follow three rather slow foursomes in front of us.
The course itself was in generally good condition -- tees, fairways, and greens. The bunkers were a bit inconsistent and need better drainage and grooming. There is a good variety of holes. One remarkable downside is that there is no restroom on the back 9 and the restroom on the front side lacked TP.

Everyone was friendly and helpful! The course was fun to play, easy AND hard. Good for all levels of play. The starter was super nice and I highly recommend the Bloody Marys.

It has a decent lay out but the green complexes could use some TLC. The sand traps probably have not had new sand in years. I wouldn't take a lot of money to upgrade the course to be much more enjoyable.
