About
The second of two Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry designs at Desert Willow resort in Cathedral City, Mountain View is a little shorter (6,913 yards) and boasts wider fairways than the Firecliff Course.
There are also half as many bunkers as at Firecliff. Which still means there are 98 here.
Still, water comes into play more on Mountain View. The course name is no misnomer either. Golfers actually do get great views of the Santa Rosa Mountains as they take on Hurdzan's desert landscaping. This is resort golf with real nature touches.

Awesome course, staff and value!
I've played over 35 courses in the last 2 years and I'd say this course is the best I've played for under $75. I only $64 for a GoflNow Hot Deal and I'd play it again even if it was $85! Tee boxes, fairways and roughs are in perfect condition. The greens are very good as well. They are a bit slow, but consistent and smooth. They are also in beautiful condition. One of the best deals I've had on GolfNow!
This course is beautiful!
Mountain View’ Course was a must stop and look around course. This course is well maintained and surrounded by natural beauty. All supporting facilities were excellent. We could not get enough so we will be playing again tomorrow.
Terrific Value!
Could not have been a better all around day. From the bag drop to the pro shop to the starter, cart girl, marshal and even the guy who cleaned our clubs at the end of the round.... well done.
Course in great shape... played Mountain and greens lightening fast!

Excellent course
This was my fourth or fifth time at Desert Willow over the last few years. Always a pleasure to play either course.
Tranquility
The course offers great mountain range views tight greens that run about 11 to 12 with great upkeep of the grounds
Desert Willow Mountain Course
The course was in great condition. The pace of play was slow, but that is not a Desert Willow problem. It is we golfers. There’re are two courses at Desert Willow, and they are both in excellent condition.I recommend this course for all level of golfers.
One of best public courses I have played
This was a beautiful resort level course open to the public, with amazing practice facilities and a beautifully maintained course. I wish my driver was behaving more -- tee to green the course wasnt too difficult; the fairways were wide and rough was very manageable. The greens are hard --- hence very few ball marks -- and fairly tough. Pin placement was challenging.
