Ever since it debuted in 2003 and started earning raves for being one of Northwest Florida's premier courses. This semi-private layout is the star amenity of an 800-acre residential development that touches Choctawhatchee Bay. Robert C. Walker, formerly the lead architect of Arnold Palmer's design company, laid out Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club amidst a nature preserve near the south shore of the bay. While you'll feel the breezes as you play this stalwart of Florida's Emerald Coast region, the water views during the round are of the wetlands, streams and manmade lakes that lend beauty and challenge to the game here. Plenty of trees, bulkheads lining the hazards and bright white sand in the predominantly shallow bunkers add extra aesthetic panache when you play at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club. With so much water and trouble all around, you'll need to execute numerous forced carries on your drives and approach shots. A couple of holes feature island-like fairways.
Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club delivers a classic brand of Florida target-style golf, though it's a challenge everyone can enjoy. Moderately skilled players will be relieved that some of the hazards and shot prospects seem more intimidating than they really are. The game at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club comes to a crescendo finish. On the tricky par-4 16th you must avoid the water on the left and the marsh that crosses the fairway. While the redesigned 17th may be a drivable par 4 for long hitters, for most players the primary task is executing a forced-carry tee shot over water that finds the fairway in a spot short of the bunkers that intercede before the green. The finishing hole at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is a reachable ball 5 that hooks around a large lake with the green tucked hard by the hazard. It's the last test of a day of golf filled with strong and intriguing holes.
The club's extensive practice facilities include a golf academy with a canopy cover and a nice clubhouse with a lakefront restaurant that's ideal for winding down after your game. It's no wonder that Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is such a popular place to play in golf-rich Destin.

Perfect day of golf
Course was in great shape, true greens — not too fast, and Marisa makes an excellent spicy Bloody Mary! One of the most beautiful courses I’ve ever played.

1st Visit
Booked through Golf Now, got a discount but only a couple of times available for the whole day. Checked in without anty delay, and hit a few balls at the range (nice range and practice green). Course in great condition, and rough medium length. Bunkers well maintained and very unique player friendly sand rake design never seen before. All in all a very nice experience.

Brilliant day
I took my sons golfing and wanted a real elite golf experience, and Regatta delivered. The amenities were top notch, the staff friendly and helpful, and the course was in immaculate shape.

Great course
Very happy with the course and staff and it’s worth every penny when you consider legacy in pcb is over $100 to play and is not even in the same ball park. Very enjoyable experience and will be back soon.

Great service
I have played Regatta a number of times since moving to the area 6 years ago. Regatta is consistently well maintained, challenging and always enjoyable. The best attribute is its staff. The golf shop, bag guys and beverage cart girls are always friendly and polite. I played on Saturday October 28th and my experience was once again terrific. A special thank you to the beverage cart girls whose assistance to survive a round is invaluable. Hats off to you ladies, you have to deal with some unreasonable people and smile through it all.

Horrible Experience
We found out upon arrival the pro shop moved our tee time to one spot later in the day. No big deal, we thought, but they put a fivesome in our original tee time to accommodate a “member”. It took us 5 hours to play and we finished the last hole as it was getting dark. There was 25 minutes between the fivesome in front of us and the group ahead of the fivesome. We waited on every hole, every shot. I called the pro shop when we were on hole 12 to inquire about the slow pace. All I got was the run-around and no help. Good course but horrible management.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Great Golf Experience
I love playing Regatta Bay when we come to the condo a few times a year. The practice facility is 1st rate. The course is a great layout with awesome Par 3's. The greens are perfect speed and condition. I recommend this course very highly!

Best Golf Course in Destin
