Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club sits amongst the nature preserves that reside along Choctawhatchee Bay, enjoying scenic views and a beautiful landscape. Robert C. Walker, Arnold Palmer's former lead architect, designed the course. Water comes into play throughout in the form of sparkling blue lakes and meandering streams. The most memorable use of water comes is on the challenging 16th hole. This tricky par 4 has water to the left as well as a marsh area crossing the fairway. Being so close to the water, the golf course is often subject to strong prevailing winds. Despite its many challenges, Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is a fair challenge that players of all skill levels can enjoy, which is perhaps why it has been called one of North America's top courses by Golf Digest.

Top Destin Course

Course recovering from unusual January snowfall but looking good. This is a difficult course, when the wind is blowing 20 mph, bring your A game or stay home.

Slow Play

It took two hours and 45 minutes to play the front line when the Marshall split up the twosome in front of us the pace picked up. Great course! Just a bad experience for that day.

The course was in great condition. Greens were the best I have played on this year in my trip to Destin.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My concern is that the rates have made quite an increase from last year and without a deal from GolfNow I will not be enjoying my favourite Destin course as oven I would like.

Good challenge great staff

Had a great round full of tough holes but a great group. Staff was attentive and friendly pointing us in the right direction and making food and drink available. Course in great shape, would play against tomorrow!

Best of Destin

I played 13 courses on my snow bird vacation and Regatta Bay is my favorite. It is in a gated community and feels like a private course. The practice facility is top notch with separate driving range, chipping area and putting green. The carts have GPS units and there are three restrooms on the course. It is one of the more expensive places to play but worth it. Excellent bunkers and fast greens. They could move the cups around more often but that may be picky. The staff is friendly and the pro shop has all the top brands.
