About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.
Hidden Hills has a rating of 74.0 from the championship tees, and the slope rating is 136.

Fun, Challenging and Different
The course was in overall excellent condition barring a few areas under repair which did not affect play.
The hills and undulating course is refreshing to see and play in North Florida.
Play was fairly quick, at about 3.5 hours
Excellent challenge for the money
The course is moderately challenging, the greens are in excellent shape, and the course is rarely busy. A round is reasonably priced and most timeslots are available. I recommend the course as a fun round of golf.

Appropriately named, Hidden Hills will not disappoint! Elevated tees and greens will transport you out of Florida to the foothills. Watch out for holes 6, 7 & 8 - they're our "Amen Corner"!

Great course and Hidden Gem
Guys day out with family. Course was in great shape.. Staff at bag drop very efficient and helpful.
The man who checked us in at the pro shop was rude and unenthusiastic about being there..
Cart girl served us beverages and was very polite.

Affordable and challenging course
Enjoyable 18 holes at Hidden Hills. Our most challenging course so far. 2-3 holes which don’t do anything but there are some really holes which challenge the big hitters and 2nd shot experts
Greens were in average condition
Pace of play was great -first ones out and it seemed busy
Spotted loads of nature including a gator and the neighborhood is pretty and varied to view
We’ll be back soon
Cost was about 50 per player midweek. Lost plenty of balls between us as a result of tough holes and poor shots!

Hidden Hills is a Hidden Gem!!
This was my first time playing Hidden Hills and was very pleased. It is the middle of July so the greens were a little rough. The fairways, tee boxes and rough were in great shape. No negative things about my round at Hidden Hills. I wish I would of hit the ball a little better!! Look forward to playing again on my next trip to the JAX area.

Greens are in rough shape
There is a bunch of disease on most of the greens. There is also quite a bit of exposed dirt areas. It’s just in rough shape. I’ve played it in much better shape.
