About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.

Getting better
The course is getting better. The greens are smoother than they were earlier in the year. They have some dry/rough spots buts apparent that they are trying to get the courses back in shape. A great layout.

Fun but the sun is taking a toll
Great afternoon at HH! Went around in just over 3 hours with a friend that I made at the course. Only problems are that some of the tee boxes are getting rough, and some of the greens are starting to have brown patches.

Enjoyable course
Hidden Hills is a good round , even if pace of play can be slow at times. No ranger on course and so it’s up to players to deal with slow golfers or single players wanting to play quickly. Has some really good holes generally with just a couple of holes which are neither scenic nor really taxing

First Time there - I’ll be Back
Nice course. Played on a Thursday, teeing off around 1130. Course in good condition. Greens have some areas that are sanded -being patched, so there was on occasional issue putting or chipping, but I can look past that. Nice variety of holes - uphill, down hill. Only complaint is that all par threes play about the same distance - at least from the Blues. I used the same club on all 4. Nice practice facility as well. Definitely coming back. Nice wild life on the course.

Course Conditions
Overall good however tees a little unbalanced, verticut thatch lines in all fairways punished good shots and greens are starting to look better. Great North FL layout.

For peak summer in Florida it’s in great shape! Staff was friendly and ranger got the 6-some in front of us out of the way so we played 18 in under 4 hrs.

Solid Track
The course had a very unique layout. Teeboxes and fairways were in great condition, but the greens could use some help. They weren’t terrible, just a little slow and had a couple dead spots. Would definitely recommend this course for the price.

Huge storm but course dried up really well
Becoming a bit of a regular course so we are learning how to play the tricker holes better
Play was still a bit slow and there isn’t any marshaling on the course today at least
Huge storm came through but no siren to call us in so we waited through it and we’re back playing the next shots within 25 mins. For the amount of rain that dropped the course dried extremely quickly and we were able to finish the round

very slow play and fair to poor conditions
The round took close to 5 1/2 hours which is absolutely ridiculous. There were three groups in front of us playing from the tips. Out of 12 people, one was an ok golfer. If they had a ranger the groups should have been pulled to the side to let the stack of people behind them through. I thought the greens would have improved but many are still in poor conditions. If you are just off the fairway good luck with the lie (sand and weeds).
