About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.

Hidden Hills needs maintenance
Fairways are in terrible shape. No grass in most places. Greens have not been done in years.

No GPS on carts and over priced for this course. Greens are a mess and fairways were not groomed. May be the worse greens I have seen in Jaxs.

Hidden Hills 👎
I have never had an enjoyable round at this course. Tee Boxes are all uneven and messy. No grass in the fairways it’s just hard dirt and sand. Greens are super fast and patchey. This place sucks. Plenty of other better options in the Jacksonville area
Nice Layout - Conditions as Expected for Winter
Greens appeared to be recently variegated but not too bad and subsequently not real fast. Fairways were as expected for winter play and required LCP. We were a twosome playing behind foursomes, but still finished at 4+20.. Practice range was not mats, but tee area needed to be adjusted forward or back.

Nice course but greens were off
The course layout was difficult. Forced less—than-driver off the tee and forced layups on many holes so it played longer than actual yardage. The fairways were in overall nice shape. The tee boxes could use some work and the greens must have had work done to them recently because they had a that thatched pattern to them and rolled very inconsistent. Will play again but would like to see the course in better condition next time

Greens under repair
They are working on the greens so putting is very challenging since ball bounces thru tiny grooves of crusty grass. Course needs more water on tee boxes. Layout is outstanding but it’s a shame the course conditions detract from the potential.

Maybe Next Year
Course conditions are awful maybe try water once and awhile. Aerated greens = Reduced rate anywhere else. If you can’t afford water and know the conditions are awful the rates need to match it. This is no longer the course it was so the price needs to be updated to match.

Terrible shape
Not a good value for the conditions. From bunkers, fairways to greens very poor. No rangers on course, 3 hours for 9 holes. Increased price for Players week. Won’t be back. It’s a shame too because the layout is beautiful!!

Just Horrible
The course was not great and the staff was a bunch of has beens that treated everyone horribly. There were 16 golfers backed up on hole 3. Over booked over priced!. Maybe you should refund our $.
