About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.
Hidden Hills has a rating of 74.0 from the championship tees, and the slope rating is 136.

Bad condition
The course had punched the greens. The greens putted like bunkers. At checkin, nobody told us about the greens. Very poor customer.
Aerated greens, slow golf, and still $70
The course didn’t make any notice, nor did the app, of the aerified greens and it made for awful green conditions. Punched and then sand unevenly spread across different areas. Additionally there were foursomes breaking apart into twosomes making for a 18 hole experience that took almost 5 hours. Won’t be going back to Hidden Hills any time soon if at all.

tough day on the course
Price was high for course conditions. Big hole punch with little to no sand to fill it in. Very disappointed!

Not impressed
Not worth the money and pace of play was slow. The course conditions and greens were not to the level I would have thought after paying $70. Highly disappointed. Greens were not smooth at all

Better greens at Blue Cypress
For $70.00 you don’t get much. Course conditions could be blamed on the weather, however the green complexes at a course right down the road Blue Cypress are superb. Price should be at least $20.00 cheaper. Cart girl was fantastic. Staff at club house were great.

Arnie Doesn’t Disappoint
The Arnold Palmer design provide plenty of challenges and chances to get creative with your shot selection. If you can pull it off or miss in the right spot, the layout can be very rewarding. The greens hadn’t quite recovered completely from top dressing, but no excuse for my poor putting. They still rolled well. I will be back when I’m the area.

Very poor
We have played this course in years passed when traveling through the Jacksonville area. It used to be pretty decent, but so sorry to say that conditions have gotten worse and worse over the last several years.
