The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

Course is in amazing shape

As always, course is in amazing shape from top to bottom. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all perfect. Only complaint was the pace of play. A group arrived 20 minutes late and were still able to tee off causing some serious delay on the first hole. A standard needs to be added for groups that are late, maybe for them in if there’s an available time slot. Ended up just playing the front 9 twice since we were one of the last groups to tee off.

The course layout is still great but course conditions have gone down hill lately but the worst part is the pace of play which is over 5 hours. This is a difficult course and most people play the wrong tees for the level of their game which drives the slow pace. I will never play it again on a weekend.

Played the course for the first time in over a decade and can remember why I wanted to go back. Course was in good shape. Pace of play was good for the front nine, but backed up on the back nine. After nine holes, we were waiting on every shot and when the sky opened up after eleven holes I decided to pack it in - not a fan of brutally slow play in the rain. This is not the course's fault. I will definitely be back.

Cold Day but Great Course

Crooked Cat has made a solid come back. Last time I played here a few months ago it was needing improvement. Now it’s back to OCN standards. And we played after a monsoon and zero water on the course and most importantly, NOT cart path only. The staff inside the shop were super friendly, outside staff good too. Definitely recommend this track.

I played both Crooked Cat and Panther Lake. Crooked Cat became congested on back side; Panther Lake was cart path only and pace of play was excellent. Both tracks were in good condition. Staff is very accommodating. One of my favorite places to play because of the consistency in course conditions. If you're a beginner or intermediate golfer you'll prefer Crooked Cat over Panther Lake
