Beautiful course
Have been here about a dozen times. Wonderful ambiance. Only issue was greens being punched out, otherwise really nice course.
Disappointed
To bad we were not informed at booking that greens were being aeriated and only 9 holes were open. Good course, just a bad week to play it.
Course Condition
The dry weather has caused havoc to golf courses in this area over the past few months. Conditions are extremely dry and fairways / greens are hard baked. The course has lots of water holes, although many are dried up right now. During ideal weather conditions, this course would offer a great deal more difficulty.
Good layout, suffers from lack of watering and grass
Has a very good course layout, but, as is the case with most non-private courses in the area, is suffering from the recent drought. The greens are in great shape, but the fairways are patchy and lack grass in areas, where weeds are taking over. It seems very few non-private courses in the area seed with grass or water fairways. I am not referring to overseeding with rye grass, it seems very few courses seed with grass at all.
Great Local Course!
I live in the area and love playing this course!! The staff is always great. They are true to their tee times and always get you out on time. I always see rangers moving people along if its slow. I will say however that it does tend to slow down on the back 9 but nothing too bad. I love the course, it's always in great shape. It's a perfect course for beginners or experts.
Beautiful And Challenging Course!!
Coming from a very challenging home course, Pebble Creek is a wonderful course to play. We had a great time playing, the water on the course makes it a very challenging course. We saw a few gators which added to the excitement. We would play here anytime and highly recommend it to all!!
Great course, friendly staff
Staff, especially the starter were extremely friendly. Good job pairing people up to try and speed up the pace of play. I will say play on the back 9 was much slower than the front, but nothing unbearable- keeping in mind that particular players dictate the pace of play play once you are out on the course. I don't think you can't blame the course for this. My only critique is that I felt the greens were a little small on some of the holes. Course was in good condition and I will definitely be returning for another round.
18 holes near Tampa
My wife and I enjoyed the course. We were paired with another couple who played there several times as it was our first. They were delightful company and helpful in explaining the layout. Although there is a lot of water on the course it was avoidable. The course was in very good shape and just challenging with a variety of doglegs both right and left. Brian and Judy made our round special and they went to great lengths to help the newcomers. I would recommend this course for value based on cost and challenge for the layout. Four tees allowed the players to choose the difficulty they preferred. Must use a cart but it was better for traversing to some holes tee boxes. Overall a lot of fun for us.
Nice layout
Great layout but the fairways were hard and every green was raised and very small making approach shots difficult. Greens were a good speed and putts true.
Great course for the value, and the staff is superb!
Great track.
We went purely by Golfnow reviews and were not disappointed. The staff and members were extremely friendly. Lots of wildlife, good course conditions and a layout with lots of water - already looking forward to playing it again.
Excellent course layout. Small greens require precise iron play. Starter needs to be more assertive in adhering to group play on a weekend. No singles/twosomes mixed in between threesomes or foursomes.
This is a nice course and it is very challenging with a lot of water.
