Great time
Has been a while since I played this course. Last time we played was in the Fall and we happened to be there when the greens were being worked on. The entire course was in excellent shape and our group totally enjoyed the experience. Without a doubt we will add this to our list of courses we check for available tee times every weekend.
Good course
Always enjoy playing this course about once a month.
Average course
I played this course the 2nd day of my Tampa trip the day after playing the Eagles lake course. It was ok. The course was really wet until after the 6th hole. The best part of the course was the challenge of getting through the course without going into the water. Seems like there was water on nearly every hole. Made the course look nice but wasn't anything special.
jersey Doug
I highly recommend this course especially using the seniors tees.
By jersey standards this course is a 10
Good close course
The greens were soft and OK minor spots on the greens overall good. Fairways fair and nicely cut.
Justagolfnut
Good "old school" golf course. Lots of trees and small elevated greens.
When dry, a blast to play. When wet, not so much. Would not play here the day following heavy rains. Give it 2-3 days to dry out.
If you're a nature buff, bring your camera.
"Mulligans" for lunch is a must.
As always, it will do in a pinch!
Not the best course, but has some redeeming qualities. Small greens, lots of water and many trees add to the pressure playing this course. It is surrounded by homes, which means plenty of distraction by passerby's, joggers and home improvers. nun-the-less, I will probably wait another nine months to play again.
love this course
in great condition, love the gps in the carts, and love mulligans...their 19th hole. has a pool table and ping pong table. however it was hot when we played and we never saw a cart girl and all the water coolers were bone dry...overall this is one of my favorite courses and i most definitely will return!
Nice coarse but a bit pricy
First time playing at Pebble Creek. Got there 30 minutes before my 9:15 tee time so I decided to warm up with a few swings in the driving cages (complementary balls) very nice. Got up to the 1st tee at 9:15 and had to wait to almost 20 minutes before I could hit. There was no starter and no coarse ranger. The conditions on the coarse were very soggy and water logged. I was playing as a single and was never offered by the 4 some in front of me to play through and they were slow. It took almost 4 1/2 hours to get through the round. I was hoping for a better experience since they were charging $40 for a morning tee time. Maybe I'll come back and try Pebble creek again in the winter when conditions are drier. At this time due to the soggy conditions and multiple slow groups I would not recommend this coarse for anyone wanting to play a smooth round.
Lots of fun.
The course looked beautiful. Our first time there. It did rain that day so we weren't able to complete all 18 holes. Young man at the front desk was very kind and professional. We loved how open the course was and how wide the fairways were.
Peeble Creek
Nice course, well maintained, some challenging holes, nice greens and friendly experience including the pro shop, club house, rangers, maintained staff, etc.
Popular and well-maintained course.
Course was in superb condition. Staff very friendly!
Great friendly staff
First time playing, pace a little slow but staff came out and apologized twice, was no big deal. Lots of water, challenging but fun. Only negative was Some of the Senior and Ladies T-boxes were dirt only, no grass, must have been under construction?
I think the staff at Pebble was some of the friendliest of anywhere I have played. Also went out of their way to invite us back.
Great staff
Friendly staff. Creative layout. Seems to play longer than the 6500 yards from tips. Greens will be ideal in about a week.
Nice Experience
First time back here in a couple of years. Nice outing. Played after work on a Tuesday afternoon. Went in at 3pm for my 3 15 tee time and was sent out as soon as I was ready. Pro shop guy said there was a league starting at 5pm on the back 9. He gave me the options to start on the back or play the front twice. I started on the back and got around in 51 minutes. Front side would have been just as quick if it weren't for a 3 some of a Mother and her two teenagers. The kids were each playing multiple balls and were decent players but the Mom should have been teaching them golf etiquette. They weren't fixing ball marks or raking traps and never let me play through even as I sat right behind them on every tee.. The teens walked the entire course while the Mom fished for balls all day... Finally I just took a 5 minute break and let them pull away and enjoyed my round.. I don't hold the course libel for that, since most courses don't have rangers out late anyway...
The tee boxes were level for the most part and very large so you can always find a flat spot to tee off from. Fairways were nice and smooth and rolled out nicely. Greens had been aerated a week or so ago but were very soft and receptive and rolled very quickly even with some sand on them.. They should be perfect in a few weeks. The layout is nice and the fairways are nice and wide. A lot of water to avoid but plenty of fairway to avoid trouble.
Cant wait to go back out there and play when the greens are just right..
Great Day On The Course
The greens were aerated a few days before and we knew that before we went to play. Otherwise, the course was in good shape. My spouse had one of her best scoring rounds ever even with the aerated greens. Some of the tee boxes do need a lot of work - little to no grass, mostly sand in some cases. Staff was helpful and friendly and the in-cart GPS was very helpful. Will play again in the future after the greens settle out.
Tricky and Fun
I play golf every Friday, and this is one of my favorite places to golf. The staff are VERY friendly. Cart girls fly around the course (unless its packed). Greens are well maintained and some can be quite challenging. Course is full of wildlife (gators, snakes, turtles, birds) which adds to the beauty/experience. Price is very reasonable, especially on GolfNow and their course website. Overall I love this course and the GPS on the carts are very helpful. Can't wait to play here again!
Good stuff
Course was great condition and the views are awesome ...best course I have played in Florida
