Well maintained with amenities to please
My preferred course. Soft greens with little roughness. irrigation/drainage does not pose any problems and speed of play is usually quite satisfactory. Specials, when available, make this the best value.
Don't waste your time!
Nice layout with a lot of potential but the greens are tterrible. They also use the course for high school cross country races...never seen this before on a quality golf course. Bottom line...there's way too many nicer courses in this area for the same price so don't waste your time here!
Beautiful course,lots of water.
Clubhouse was in great shape, with a pub inside.layout was good.very well maintained.good course for long hitters.
very nice!
Elevated greens. Some water ,some woods. Fast greens. Fairways in pretty good shape. Friendly staff. I will go back.
Nice course but slow for Saturday.
Nice course but slow for a Saturday. Cart girl was hard to find.
Fun course all around
Perfect day for golf. Flat fairways and elevated greens. Plays longer than the yardage card stated due to moist conditions. The greens are small so approaches need to be straight. Watch for gators
Very good, could be better
My first impression was good: well stocked and very inviting pro shop. The gentleman manning the counter was very friendly and helpful. There is no driving range at this facility (any longer, as I would learn from one of my playing partners), but they do have an area set up with hitting cages and free balls. One thing that immediately got my attention was the awesome GPS unit on the cart. Large, full color graphics - best I have ever seen.
On a down side, I was playing as a single, I was early, and there was not a starter, so I was left to find a group on my own.
Not a huge problem, but this something worth mentioning.
As for the course itself, it was in good shape overall. Most tees were in decent shape but seemed a bit dry (a couple were in bad shape). The fairways were in great shape, which I thought was remarkable because of all the rain we have had lately. The greens were iffy, but to be fair we were following a "bad" group or two - dragging and twisting their feet, not repairing ball marks, slamming putter heads on the green (or causing damage somehow) - so the area around the cup was terrible on EVERY green. That being said, the greens received shots well and rolled true except for this damage.
The course is a good and fair challenge. Water in play on 17 (yes 17!) holes. The sand looked perfect (although I was fortunate enough to not have to test this myself).
I would go back again...
Course is in good shape
The course was in good shape, just really wet. cart path only a lot of walking, nice course but give it a little time to dry out.
Nice layout
Great greens. Fairways was a
Alittle wet but understandable with the rain the area had. The gps on the carts are nice for a new person to the course. Good food and drink specials at mulligans next door. Will defiantly play again
Great Golf
This was a very enjoyable round of golf. It has water in all but one hole so it challenges you. Would play it again.
this is a great course
the course was wet in some places but over all in good shape
the course is beautiful
the course was is decent shape, the fairways needed to be cut closer as the ball was actually lost in the fairway...greens were in great shape....challenging without being PGA material...great for duffers like me
good course
very good course. love the gps system. staff is great. but they do need to cut the grass more often. its the only course that I have lost balls in the fairway, but could be because of all the rain we received. overall I definitely like to get out there and play
Decent conditions but crowded
Made the mistake of playing this public course on Labor Day - it was very crowded and extremely slow. Decent conditions despite a lot of rain recently, greens are slow but putt true. It is a good value for the money if you pick a slower day. Staff is very courteous.
This course is fun for all
Great layout. Water and trees are not an issue. Ended with the same ball I started with. Unfortunate in that this course does not drain at all. Don't recommend it during our rainy season.
This course is laid out beautifully, well maintained.
I would give this course a 5 star rating starting with the staff, the carts were clean and well maintained, even included GPS which is a LARGE plus. The course and greens were well kept. The refreshment cart attendant was great also.
Excellent course for the money. Not too difficult for the weekend golfer, but still has some challenges for the avid golfers.
Excellent course for the money. Greens were a bit soggy after heavy rains but still very playable. Drink cart ladies are very easy to look at......
Well maintained. Not sandy greens like a lot of other places.
Had a great time, could use more water coolers for how hot it really is especially on days whebb there is no cart/food person going around.
Under $10
I couldn't complain much because I paid $10 but they had a golf tourney on a Sunday which was pretty odd... I had to wait until they cleared the coruse but it was all worth it!
Far exceeded expectations
We were really impressed with the course. To me, it slots above some other similar local courses like Northdale, Bloomingdale, etc. Fairways and tee boxes were good, greens were far above standard around here, especially for August. For whatever reason, quite a few unrepaired ball marks, which is always frustrating. The cart we had seemed brand new and the built-in GPS is outstanding... best in-cart GPS I've ever seen with a fantastic layout of hole and hazards on a 13 inch screen. Appropriate risk/reward choices on the course, and honestly the rough was in better shape than the fairways on some other local courses. I don't usually do these reviews, but felt like this course deserved it. This was the first time we've played here in probably ten years... it won't be another ten, that's for sure.
