Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

If I had to describe this course in two words it would be old and tired. There are much nicer courses down here for the money.
It appears from what we could see all the money goes in to the other course.
In the other hand all of the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Camelback review
I played played Camelback golf course Jan 24, 2022, in the early afternoon. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I played Padre which was the easier of the two courses and was sufficiently challenged. The course was well maintained except for a couple of tee boxes and even my partner was decent. Afterwards we ate lunch at the dining room and the food didn’t disappoint. Overall I would play the course again if I returned to Scottsdale.
Greens and fairways good
Greens and fairways were in good shape but the tee boxes were rough and the course was too expensive for the layout.

Nice course but a flat, well maintained and good facilities.
Tee time reservation canceled
When we got to the golf course for our pre-paid reservation was canceled by the pro shop.
