Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Course was nice and was done in 3:40 playing as foursome behind another foursome!
Padre was in great shoe and the staff was awesome. Just jumped out of a plane with travel case and the guys down by the bag area took the case and other backpack for me and I hopped on course to play. The course had a good mix of easier and harder holes and would be great for groups with a mix of skills. #17 was toughest Par 3 tee shot I have faced in a long time!
Too hot? Nope, lots of shade.
The course was in great shape today. It gets plenty of water and the fairways were lush and the rough was green and plentiful. Ball rolled well on the greens which were also in great shape. Plenty of shade around to keep you cooler while the sun beats down this summer.
Don’t know what a high demand price per round is, but playing this time of year, by FAR, best value in the area!
Excellent Course, fun morning
Friendly staff, quick off the tee for fast round but with lots of time to line up shots. Course in good condition and fun layout. Will be back, great value.
I play a couple times a month and shot an 80 from the white tees (6400 yards). Good views and friendly staff with good course conditions made for a good time. Fun course all the way around but not overly challenging
Enjoyed Padre Course
Nice course and layout. Greens well but tough sloping away. Challenging. Fairways both flat and some undulating. Truly enjoyable. Will definitely be back
AM round
Padre was soaked so we played Ambiante even tho my time was for Padre. Not a bad trade. Everything was excellent, the greens has the final remnants of being punched so not as smooth as in prime time.
We had a good pace, enjoyed the experience!
Camelback Padre August
Rain has helped greens recover from punching. Rough is penalty now as very lush. Hot but played in 3 hours starting at noon.
Relaxing Round
First time playing this course and it didn’t disappoint. We were worried that the overnight rain would make it unplayable but it really wasn’t that bad. The course sent an email early in the morning alerting us of the cart path only rule which was a nice heads up. From tee box to green, conditions were primo considering we are still in summer mode here in AZ. The rains have definitely helped enhance summer conditions. All staff from the clubhouse to the first tee to the beverage cart to the cart barn we’re friendly. Will definitely add this track to our rotation!
