Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Cart path only with covid rules
When the course is cart path only and with covid, I was single and spent all day fetching my golf cart. I walked 9,421 steps playing golf on the padre course. Without your cart, you have no idea the distance as the course is poorly marked, The greens were very sand not grass. The price was very high in my opinion. I live here year-round.
No Call Back
My only complaint is with Golf Shop staff not keeping their word to call me back after I lost my range finder on the course. I called 4 times for them to check with outside staff each time was put on hold no one came back to phone. The last time I called reservations called the golf shop then came back saying golf shop didn't pickup. Course was great customer service SUCKS!
Very disappointing!!
I really hate writing negative reviews but this experience deserves it. From start to finish as a disaster... Pulled up to the starter 15 min before our tee time and he informs us that it’s cart path only!! It was never disclosed on the booking or when we checked in. So needless to say that was disappointing. Because it was cart path only the round took almost 6 hours to finish. There are a couple a couple other details that made the day unfortunate. Try better Camelback!!!
Good pace, great conditions
Grabbed a hot deal tee time so value was great. Course recently gone through over seeding so it was in great condition. It was cart path only which was not mentioned on golfnow but that really wasn’t an issue since the pace of play was so good. Finished the round in just over 3 and a half hours.
Don’t believe the bad reviews
Beautiful course. Loved it. Excellent cart girls and staff. From arrival to leaving it was a good time.
Camelback
Underwhelmed by the course conditions and course layout. No warning on cart path only and then paired up with another couple. Golf balls filled up with mud on the course with no way to clean them.

the customer service on this website is non-existent as it is impossible to reach a real person to resolve issues, and they don't respond to emails. I'm done with using Golf Now and will take my business elsewhere.
The DMV and the IRS are more customer friendly than these people

Great facility
Hope i get another chance at this course! Loved it and my buddy shot his age (81) with a fringe putt in birdie on last hole!! Sooo much fun!!

Great Scottsdale Course
Camelback is not an exceptional course but it is definitely challenging. They do a great job of keeping it in great shape. It is pricey. But you won’t feel cheated. It is just interesting enough. Centrally located . Great clubhouse. Good people. Good food. A class act.
October is not prime time to play
One of the courses was open which made for slow play. Finished round around 3-3:30 and was interested in replay but club would not oblige because of spraying chemicals on the course.
Terrific Course, Fun to play, but....
So this is my second time playing Padre. First time I played from the yellow and I found the course a blast to play with wide fairways and very challenging greens. (I am a 6 handicap). Today I "tried" to play the white tees. The difference in length is incredible. They need tees between the white and yellow. Yes you can play a combo but moving the whites up a little is a better idea.
First time I played we played in 3.5 hours. Today the round was much longer. 4 hours 20 minutes. This is a wonderful course. It just needs someone to make it a bit more playable for people who think that the yellow are a little short and the white are too long.
I can tell you that we started today on #10. 450 yard uphill par 4. Not a chance on this planet of me reaching this green or getting within 50 yards of it.
With respect to the carts, they "let" me take a cart by myself but said that if they are running short of carts, I have to share. I said that due to my age and medical issues, that would not be possible for me (Covid). They said sorry, that is the way that it is. I think Covid trumps everything and safety should come first.
I will go back there and play the yellow which are a little short but at least playable and reachable for me.
