Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Father's Day round
Staff was friendly and inviting. We were paired up with a a couple that were club members. They were friendly and helpful around the course. I have played here a few times and it is always a good time.
Camelback
Beautiful well manitained golf course. First time playing here but I will be back. Layout is fair for the average golfer. The greens are tough. They are fast so you need to control the pace of the put. Otherwise your 6 feet past the hole. Hole locations are tough. Sloped greens along with the speed will force you to put the ball in the right spot.
Awesome Greens
Camelback Padre course is my favorite local course. Friendly staff, excellent range/warmup area. Good, fair course. The greens are some of the best in greater Phoenix area. So true and pure. Awesome. Only issue was the condition of the tee boxes.
Excellent shape for summer time.
For the panicky Corona plandemic people the staff were ALL wearing masks. Triple digit heat out today. The course with the exception of a few spots was in great shape. A few fairways were wet, but not bad. The greens were in excellent shape. I was really surprised for this time of year. Most of the greens have a lot of slope one direction or another. Nearly all of them are raised. You must fly the ball as they will not run up. Several of them have a guardian sand trap that you must get passed to get on the green. Not too many houses on the course. Overall, it was a good day. I played in about 3 hours after getting through a 4-some who was playing slower.
Wow
We played the TPC yesterday, but this course had faster greens, more of a traditional layout than the typical desert style. I’m coming back next time I’m in Phoenix to redeem myself. The greens kicked my butt, the ball would roll forever and I love a fast green...
A Fun Day on a Good Course
Playing this course for the third time and it's always a challenge getting the tee ball in the correct position on a different course. Played with a great couple from Parker, AZ, so that made for a fun day. Greens were firm and quick...so position on the green became very important. Also some local knowledge would have been nice on some tee shots. Overall it's a course that will test your game and I will be back to give it another shot or two.

Camelback Padre course
Had a nice time. Course was fun not overly difficult, staff friendly, greens real nice and fairly fast. Can't wait to play the other course.
Amazing experience
Best staff I ever dealt with on a course, I will always make the long drive from my house to play this course. Very impressive all the way around.
Adobe's greens were firm and fast
Staff was on the ball from the get go, quick and attentive. Practice green was indicative of what was to come. I don't hit anything very high so took me six holes to figure out my approaches and allow for run out. The course was in general good shape, no issues to complain about even the sand was reasonable for the time of year. Worth the effort to get up there from the far east valley.
Excellent Condition
Course was in great shape, greens were firm and smooth, and bunkers were just to my liking - not too soft and not too firm. As a first time player on this course, the GPS on the cart made it easier to figure out where I needed to go.
Padre course
Enjoyed the course, the views and the atmosphere. Pace of play was very good even though the course was busy. Played 18 in under 4 hours.
The greens are nice and quick. But be warned, there are a few greens that slope towards the water and if your ball is on or near the slope it’s going in....enjoy!
Played during Covid 9 virus
Very few players. Greens had recently been sanded although they rolled perfectly. Course completely Bermuda now and looks and plays wells. I haven’t played Camelback for a while. I had forgotten what a wonderful course it is. Staff always great
