Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Well placed sand traps
I hit 3or 4 shots that I thought were good only to see them bounce the wrong way and end up in a fairway trap
A very nice course.
It plays harder than it looks. I think the mounded greens made the difference. Very difficult to get a ball to stop on the greens.
Nice course
Played Padre during Corona virus week. Course is great track requiring some strategy to avoid green side bunkers .Lot of elevated greens with undulations that roll off back/front or in the water if overshoot. Hole 18 is a bear
Day after rain
Lots of casual water. Many streams across fairways which are normally dry. Affected play and scores negatively.
A fun day golfing
After a lot of rain past couple days it was cart path only and understandable. Found it a little strange that we drove thru about 8 or ten swales with 8 to ten inches of. Water in them I get this is a desert country and water not usually a problem but some bridging to avoid would not be a huge cost. So when you are on the wrong side of fairway and pack extra clubs to guess yardage always a disappointment when you pay this price.
On the other hand fairways excellent shape and greens running really true with very few ball marks and a reasonable speed with the rain. Was overall a very enjoyable round with excellent staff Jim the starter was a hoot. Was a little overpriced when it is cart path only but still give course a recommendation to golfers

Russ was great, extremely friendly and took time to explain course...cart girl very friendly, and enjoyed rest of staff...great greans...front nine layout was different, love the back 9 layout..

perfect day
The bag boys were courteous, pleasant (espec. Jason). The starters Rick & Tom helpful and pleasant. Cart girl and pro shop were nice.
No problems on a perfect day.
Oh, there was one glitch, the cart GPS' were not accurate. That is they showed wrong pin placements. I asked groups in front and behind and they recognized the same problem. I alerted the player assistant (Rick), and he checked with pro shop. It was the first they had heard of it. Evidently it was that way all day. Rick was surprised nobody in the MGA didn't mention it.
