Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Fun time, good to spend with out of town guests to relax...
Staff was good, nice tips at tee off. Drinks on course were crazy expensive, but thats typical in Scottsdale. $100+ bucks a head for golfing at 2PM, just got it in before sunset. No problems, had a good time.
Lots of holes close to each other
The greens are in great shape. Rest of the course is just ok. Very slow pace and small greens. The course is tight and the holes are close together.
A good challenge
This is a wonderful course. I would play it again today if I could.
You can’t always use driver if you want to position the ball for your second shot. You have to be a great short iron player , know how to stay out or get out of bunkers, and when you get to the green, you need to trust your eyes and putt well.
Very friendly staff who want to say yes to your requests rather than no.

Great Day
Arrived on site and was greeted by a continuous rain. Began the course by myself since the others in my golf now group choose to stay dry. Hooked up with a Canadian (John) Alberta on the fourth hole and proceeded to have the course to ourselves. I enjoyed this course very much. The greens were in excellent shape very few divot scars. Played the padre side of the 36 which is a standard layout what you see is what you get. Course difficulty is a fair track, step back a box and toughen it up if you want. As always the company is what makes or breaks a round. John the Canadian was a joy to play with. This Marriott property is very well maintained. Would love to play 36 next time out if time allows.
A wet Valentine's
Game started out in light drizzle but by the back nine it was full shower mode.Hard to appreciate the beauty & challenge of the course when it was so wet!

We really enjoyed our round the greens were as advertised the defence for the course cause they were fast. The only downside was the GPS carts as advertised never did work and the course employee could not get it to work either.
Scottsdale golf trip
The whole experience was great from the checking in to the completion of the round. Wonderful staff and great course. Would go back anytime and would highly recommend it. We were a twosome so it played slow because we play fast but we still done in about 4 hours
They keep the fairways a little short for my liking. The greens are true and fast. Overall a fair but challenging course
