Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course

Course was in good shape, pace was good even with a small tournament out in front of us. Would definitely play here again.

Many challenges but a fair course and fairways and greens immaculate. Staff very friendly and Marshall kept pace of play good we completed in just over 4 hours

I went as a single to this course and was placed with two members who were a pleasure to play with. The course itself was absolutely beautiful. Greens and fairways like carpets; fringes decently trimmed and playable. I was worried I would be up to the difficulty level (I'm a 14 handicap) but found the course challenging and fair and came in on handicap. Staff were helpful. Last ... and this may seem like a trivial thing ... but when I get to the end of a course I visit that I really like, I often get a hat as a souvenir for future use, and I would have bought one for sure at Camelback, but their logo features the dopiest looking camel you can imagine. For a course in the "ritzy" part of town with Mercedes and Porsches lining the parking lot, that childish logo just does not match the otherwise impeccable taste of the club.

I booked as a single for 1:00 PM. The twosome I was with, cancelled. They then said I could tee off with another twosome at 12:30. They had left early at noon. I settled in with a threesome at 12:50. Wonderful to be fitted in. I had heard rumours about slow play. We never had to wait for a single shot, nor was there anyone waiting for us. The fairways were lush with some great rolls. Teeboxes were level......a nice change from some courses. The greens were fast and undulating. Once climatized to the speed, there were some great putts made. A great experience at a great course. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this course to anyone with less than a 20 handicap. Note.....the adjoining properties are breathtaking.

Padre Course was wonderful park land course, nice mix of length/difficulty of holes...all in great condition...only complaint was the greens on the shortish par 5s have, in my opinion, unfair slopes to the adjacent water hazards...caution all to aim for edge of greens opposite of adjacent water hazards, even with a wedge in your hands.

We got a GolfNow rate which encouraged us to play here. We enjoyed the views and the staff and amenities were nice. Enjoyed the day.

Great facility! Great service from start to finish. Practice area is worth getting there early to warm up. Course was in good shape. Gave it 4 stars because the fairways were just a little off in places. Greens are fantastic! Had the course to ourselves and played a leisurely round in right at four hours. Beautiful clubhouse! Great value.

First time to play the course. Great condition, pace of play and a great staff! Teed off at 1:41 and had time too play additional holes. Marshall was noticed several times just making sure things were good. Can't wait to play again.

The course was in very good condition and the layout was very nice. I guess I just expected it to be above what I consider the very good mark. The views were not what I expected. But the greens rolled true and my husband and I enjoyed our round.

Played the course many years ago. Remember it being enjoyable. This time, we were the first to go out and played as a twosome. Very fast. Staff was not only friendly, but helpful. Informed us of a group put way ahead of us so we could adjust our pace of play. The course was in great condition. We had played there other courses in the area that weekend and this was by far the best.
