Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
About
Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Top notch
I have played Padre an several occasions but this round was the most enjoyable Staff was on top of everything and the course could not have been in better playing condition. Greens were fast and the traps soft and very payable.
Great Course
Played on a Golfnow hot deal and it was a great value for this course for this time of year. Practice facility is excellent, range balls provided. Course was well maintained but that is expected for this course. Greens were some of the best I have ever played on in Arizona. They were like carpet, just perfect. Bunkers were also very nice with consistent sand in them, which is a rarity in Arizona. Usually mud or hard pan. Enjoyed the day.
Camelback Padre
The course was in great condition. Greens very nice. The views were awesome. The staff was friendly.
Terrible layout designed awful
The layout of this course is horrible. You can hit wonderful shots and lose your ball to water hazards. The slopes are too extreme. In addition if you hit the green nothing stays very bad and discouraging.
Fun course
Great course. Excited to get a hot deal . Love this course.pace of play slowed down only because they had a tournament. 2 thumbs up and would play again.
A bit pricey but a good course
Cold morning after heavy night time rains made the course play much longer. We were the first group off and we're the only ones on the course for a while. Cart path only due to the rain made the pace of play longer, as well.
The greens were fabulous, fast and firm. The bunkers were excellent, too. The fairways were soaked but I could see the course playing firm under normal conditions.
A bit pricey, but well under the rack rate.
I'd like to play there again with warmer weather.
CAMEL BACK IS GREAT
Beautiful course su\per fast greens terrific layout. It was cart[path only but a really great price made it more than worth while. Hope to go back!
Just ok
Tee time delay of about 30min, not sure why so that didnt things off to a good start. Fairways & greens were slow due to recent overseeding or? Pace of play for a week day was slow for sure, not a good value even with the single rate it was booked at
Saturday pleasure
The course was in excellent condition. The Kart girl
made her rounds several times during our 18 holes. Loved it
Great service
From the pro shop to the starter to the back shop, Camelback offers great helpful, friendly services.
Very nice course and great pro shop.
As seasonal golfers it's always great to find good deals for us to play some elite courses.
Great Course
Great course, cool peninsula greens with shots over water. Bunkers were nice.
Camelback
Enjoyable round of golf at a good pace, virtually no waiting on the group in front of us. The course is in great condition, the staff helpful and informative, and the surrounding vista beautiful.
Best course in the valley
Best public course in the valley! The Marriott personal that manage and staff the course, do a great in keeping the course in pristine condition. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The course was in great shape and play was never held up. My Wife and I will be coming back to play again soon.
Nice Parkland Style Course
I have played the sister course to Padre--Ambiente--at least a dozen times. Ambiente is a links-style course with plenty of desert rough that I have always enjoyed playing. I had heard Padre was a bit different so, of course, I wanted to play that one as well. And, I enjoyed the round. It only goes to reason that with Ambiente well maintained, the same would hold true with Padre. The fairways and greens were both in very playable condition, and well groomed from edge to edge. The course plays a bit long, however, even from the intermediate tees. With a decent drive (240 yds), I was still finding it necessary to play a fairway wood or long iron on my second shot. So polish up your long game for this course. It also is a course that holds some surprises. Some bunkers and hazards are not visible or obvious on first glance. Accordingly, you will to need to think about where you want to place your shots to tackle some of these hazards with your next shot. Because of this, I think I will play this course better the second time around and will be better versed on my yardages to play with more confidence. With green-side bunker faces glaring at you or edges of ponds seeming to stretch the carry you need, it is often difficult to commit to a shot the first time around. I admit i took a few second shots because of this, sometimes pulling out a longer or shorter club on the second shot as necessary. It was a fun and reasonably challenging course.
the course was in excellent condition
for the time of year the course was an exceptional condition and the cost very reasonable. I would recommend this course to my friends and fellow golfers
