Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course

Great course, cool peninsula greens with shots over water. Bunkers were nice.

Enjoyable round of golf at a good pace, virtually no waiting on the group in front of us. The course is in great condition, the staff helpful and informative, and the surrounding vista beautiful.

Best public course in the valley! The Marriott personal that manage and staff the course, do a great in keeping the course in pristine condition. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The course was in great shape and play was never held up. My Wife and I will be coming back to play again soon.

Padre-- Solid course! Overall; well above average!

I have played the sister course to Padre--Ambiente--at least a dozen times. Ambiente is a links-style course with plenty of desert rough that I have always enjoyed playing. I had heard Padre was a bit different so, of course, I wanted to play that one as well. And, I enjoyed the round. It only goes to reason that with Ambiente well maintained, the same would hold true with Padre. The fairways and greens were both in very playable condition, and well groomed from edge to edge. The course plays a bit long, however, even from the intermediate tees. With a decent drive (240 yds), I was still finding it necessary to play a fairway wood or long iron on my second shot. So polish up your long game for this course. It also is a course that holds some surprises. Some bunkers and hazards are not visible or obvious on first glance. Accordingly, you will to need to think about where you want to place your shots to tackle some of these hazards with your next shot. Because of this, I think I will play this course better the second time around and will be better versed on my yardages to play with more confidence. With green-side bunker faces glaring at you or edges of ponds seeming to stretch the carry you need, it is often difficult to commit to a shot the first time around. I admit i took a few second shots because of this, sometimes pulling out a longer or shorter club on the second shot as necessary. It was a fun and reasonably challenging course.

for the time of year the course was an exceptional condition and the cost very reasonable. I would recommend this course to my friends and fellow golfers

One of the best golf course in the valley

It was my first time playing this course. Turn out they got 2 course and I played the padre course. I got a smoking hot deal on golfnow.com for $10 on Wednesday at 11:30 tee time. I got there at 11:10 and they let me go out early. It was just me only and they didn't pair me with anyone. I played all 18th hole about 2 hours. There was no one the golf course. I finally catch up to the group ahead of me, it was a 3 some on hole 13 and I played with them. Then I moved on to the next hole by myself. Course condition was great. Fairway is great and forgiving..The greens are ok.. I can tell they punch the green not too long ago.. But the putting is smooth.. Give it another week and it will be great. I can't complain about the course for $10

Camelback Golf Club has two wonderful Golf courses. Considering the Arizona summer climate, these courses are in great condition.

The course was in very good shape. The course personnel were courteous and helpful. I will play here again.

Great course as always, fairways and greens well taken care of

I would highly recommend this course. Fairways, greens and even the rough in great shape. Course plays very straight forward but sill very challenging with well placed water and sand traps. Staff was super friendly and helpful I booked on Golfnow and got a great deal.

First time experience was great from dropping off the clubs to having lunch after the round. All of yhe staff members were helpThe starter gave us some pointers before we started off. We were paired with a single player, which helped pace of pkay. The course was in excellent condition. Would love to play it again.

Great course, great location but Ambiante plays

horrible slow! Too many tee times and too many lost balls in the long grass. Players in front of us spending half there time looking for balls in the weeds!

Fairways and Greens were great the greens a bit firm but putted quick and true. Love the practice facilities range balls free! Paired up with a couple of guys from China so made the entire experience great!

My brother-in-law played with me we had a great day and a great course experience good service from all the staff. We will be back.
