Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
About
Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Too close together
Grass is tough to play (either sticky or saturated), but green and looks great. Biggest complaint is pushing speed of play when the people in front of us were stacked up… not our fault but annoying putting golfers so close together.
Great play
Course was immaculate and the play was fine. Greens were in slow condition, but playable.
Gorgeous course
Course was in unreal shape. Beautiful place and great staff. Barbara knows how to pour a drink.
Love this place
Just nice everything! Course, service & amenities.
General good playing conditions
Course was playing well; some tee boxes could use leveling; fairways and traps were in good shape; greens were very firm and somewhat slow. Pace was good, as was value. Starter/Ranger Rick was very cordial and truly appreciated the players visiting his course. Book a tee time soon as their rates will shortly ascend and become unaffordable.
Best condition!
First time playing Camelback! The course (Padre) was in great condition!
I got a little hassled when checking in. I booked on GolfNow for 11:40, but that morning I noticed that tons of times were not booked so I took the chance and showed up early in hopes of getting on earlier. The gentleman at check-in said he shouldn’t let me and my partner go out early because he can see that we “booked on GolfNow,” and he said, “what did you pay, like $50?” I was taken aback a bit—like, what do you care if it’s not busy?
Course is in great shape for this time of year and staff is always on point!! Definitely a great place to play!
Challenging and customer friendly environment
I can’t recommend this course enough. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and sincerely concerned that we were enjoying the day. We would go back if we had time to do so.
Good Course
So super friendly staff here all the way through. GPS in carts. Played the Padre Course. Found the course in decent shape despite summer, greens in good shape, very good layout, pace of play was really good at about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. No cart girl (who was sick) but the staff made sure to give away plenty of water. Thought the price to play was a little high based on summer conditions. But have to say we enjoyed ourselves overall.
