Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

We played the course in February and the greens were not well maintained. There was several holes with significant bumps in texture which affected putting, and hole 18 green was covered in bird droppings. Although we were warned of the wind there was no warnings or discount for the greens condition, when I brought it up at the end of the round to staff they didn’t seem to care.

The greens on this course are the worst I have played in the past 2 years. This course should not even be open right now. The greens have a disease and have virtually died off. This was a premier new course. The only reason the staff got 4 stars the should be telling the customers about the condition of the course.

Course was still wet from previous nights storms. Greens were not very playable.

I've played this course on a regular basis for the past 14 years. This is a very well designed golf course and has the potential to be one of the best in the valley but the quality of the greens along with an overall lack of attention to detail make this course and very average experience at best. The greens are some of the worst I've played in the west valley. They look nice but putt like a mine field and your ball rolls like it's in a pinball machine. The general condition of the course has has continually deteriorated over the last two years but prices have continued to increase. Not sure if that's the result of the new management company, lack of budget, or the quality of the staff.

The most important part of golf is the greens and putting, sadly this course did not allow for that part of the game.

It was significantly over priced for the poor quality of the greens. With poor greens should come a discount, if not the value and experience are not as expected.

Will we play it again, probably not and of course we will certainly not recommend it.

Too bad, the rest of the course and the cart service were excellent.

Greens we’re in very poor condition. Worst greens played in the area in past 4 months.

Beautiful course, but not worth the price if the greens don’t get fixed, it’s like putting on gravel bumpy all the way, call before booking to make sure the greens are fixed

Played as a two with a local friend (visiting from Michigan) and although we were behind a foursome we didn’t have any significant waits - played through them on 15.

Greens were bumpy compared to past rounds and a handful of tee boxes were a bit beat up. Greens fees were okay in that the Waste Management Open and Super Bowl are this weekend.

Absolutely beautiful course! Layout was wonderful, pace of play was great! Conditions of fairways, tee boxes, sand traps were great! Only criticism is that some of the greens were bumpy and a little thin, but we did play the first of February. Great track, would recommend for sure!

Beautiful views, very cold, challenging but fun course layout.

Not like I remember them. Balls bouncing toward the cup?…….some kinda fungus! And I recommended the tee time. Very disappointing 😟

Always a good time at Verrado Founders. Greens not as good as last year. Good rate on Golf Now. Published rates too high.

Played Verrado right after a rain storm. Greens were still very good. Love the layout. Only draw back would be all of the construction on holes 1-8.

Enforced a 90 degree rule which was not necessary at all. Slowed down the entire course and waited every shot. Also greens were very rough. Not sure why they were so patchy.

Not a spray and pray course. Lots of bunkers, fairway and greenside, but if you can avoid them you can score well.

Greens were great and rolled true.

The day I played it rained for 6+ solid hours and was cart path only but the course was lush and drained fairly well. No complaints at all.

Grill was good, staff was friendly. Nothing but good things to say.

I have played the founders course at Verrado many times, and the condition is substandard in my opinion. The greens were patchy and putted very inconsistently. The dormant Bermuda rough was also in poor condition, and had the appearance of overwatering. I love this golf course and this condition was very disappointing and not worth the price paid. I hope they can correct these problems.

Played this course several times. We enjoy the layout and the challenging, but fair holes. Fortunately, we got a decent deal during the holiday week. The greens were decent pace, however very grainy with a couple different types of grass. Bunkers were horrible. Very little sand and extremely firm beneath the little sand. Not something your expect from a course of this caliber. Another PITA is their QR code procedure for signing the cart waiver. Whose brilliant idea? We got the first tee and the group we were paired with had not done that, so we waited till they completed filling it out. We had to download the QR application as we did not have it on the phone we did have. What do you do if you did not bring your phone? We were paired up with a twosome, one of which was only their 3rd time on a regulation course Thought we might be in for a 5 hour plus round, but give them credit for picking up several times during the round. Was still a 4 1/2 round, which is typical for this course.
