Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

We love this course. Always in top shape and the views are breathtaking.

The course was in great shape cosmetically. Greens maintained well, good level of grass in the fairways, but very punitive dormant Bermuda off the fairway.

I’m a big fan of this course and have played it a half dozen times. The greens keeper always has challenging but fair pin placements.

For the price I was able to get on GolfNow.com, it was an exceptional value for winter golf. Great restaurant also on site.

We showed up and there wasn’t even carts for us. Staff lied and told us they were just running short and that we would start on time. We started 45 min later. For $79 not the service you expect. Course was fine but starting late and the staff not being transparent will prevent me from going back. Based on some other reviews I read, this is not uncommon either. Spend a few more dollars and go to Estrella, well worth the extra few dollars.

The course was in great shape. The windy conditions made it more challenging for sure.

My only complaint was my wife got a Hole In ONE on #6 and we were surprised that the course doesn't do anything for that, not even a certificate. That very disappointing.

You have your choice of tees. Decided to play the white at 6228 yards. It played longer because of the wind and some of the uphill holes. Nice elevation changes. #8 was the only hole that the landing area off the tee that was not very visible, so we drove up to scout out the hole. There was a generous fairway. Definitely worth a replay.

The course is always in top notch condition. 20 mph+ winds added to the entertainment, but played with a group that kept the ball in play in the windy conditions.

Always a great golf experience..

We were only a twosome so had to wait on every shot, which was to be expected. What wasn’t expected or appreciated was the foursome behind us continually hitting into us . Was it because we were 2 female golfers? .... too bad they didn’t know we are both single digit handicaps. And too bad the Marshall came around on the last hole.

For a course of this caliber to be short on carts that cause a slow down in play is not acceptable. In addition the staff just passed it off as a crowded day!! We had booked a twilight rate but the extra 1/2 hr delay due to a court shortage caused us not to be able to finish. The number of carts are within the control of the course management in this case they FAILED.

Verrado has two of my top 5 favorite courses in the Valley. Had early afternoon tee time at Founders showed up around 1 hour early and there were at least 10 groups waiting on carts and while waiting didn’t see anyone play 18th hole for 15 minutes. We ended up starting 20 min late and barely finished in the dark. Something should be done to address the pace of play, new management needs to step it up. Very disappointed in the experience here. May have to spend the summer golfing in the east valley if this keeps up.

Great course for low handicappers. Greens were slow because of recent rain. Had a enjoyable round.

Great course; nice to find a course that you could play at 7200 + yards from the tips. Of course lots of other tee boxes to accommodate all levels of play.

Will go back and play again.

Great layout, well designed. Has multiple tee combinations which really makes it enjoyable and fare for all handicaps. Great proshop and restaurant make this a memorable experience

This course is always a treat to play,. It has an array of varied holes and the best par threes anywhere. Tough but fair with tees for any level of golfer. Can’t say enough nice things about this place.

We got a hot deal on GN for a 1230 for $67. This place is insane! Play it.

Great course, I always enjoy playing this course, started out on back nine because of tournament. Views on back nine fantastic. Greens and fairways excellent. Staff assistance good. Highly recommend this course. 2/8/2018
