Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

We booked a special rate for 3pm! The cart people and starter got us out early!! Very friendly and helpful! Marge and Julie on the beverage cart are the best!! The course is in awesome shape, greens are fast and true!

Well worth any one to drive to Verrado!!

This was our fourth year of going out to Spring Training in March. Our first year I was looking for places to play and Verrado looked interesting in Buckeye so we played it and fell in love with it. Have played it every time since. In the four years of playing out there, many different courses, Verrado Founders is my favorite. Great layout, fun course and is always in great shape. And for spring in the desert the rates are reasonable and not extremely high like a lot of the resort courses out there. This year, well it was in the best shape ever, though it was windy on our back nine last thursday, it's still a great course to play. Very nice range, practice area and a great staff. If you've never been out to Verrado it's worth it just to cruise around out there, the old style downtown area, everytime I take more friends out, they like the area.

Ive played this course every year for the past 11 years and sorry to say its coming off “the list”

It’s quite evident that the owners are spending their maintenance dollars over at the new sister course Victory

The greens are poor and bumpy, the fairways are half poa and half weed.

And the bunkers might as well be called waste areas

A poor D- to this once proud course.

We love playing the 2 Verrado courses. They are always in great shape and have fantastic views.

WE PLAYED VERRADO FOUNDERS COURSE AND WE THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. NICE WIDE FAIRWAYS, THE GREENS WERE FAST AND THE WEATHER WAS GREAT. WE PLAN ON PLAYING THIS COURSE YEARLY.

Always nice to golf here. A little added difficulty with the wind.

This is a tough course in an absolutely amazing setting. The views and wildlife are spectacular, especially on the back 9. The course is in great condition and is a tough test. It has a good mix of gettable holes and longer brutes but 30 MPH winds with gusts to 40 MPH when I played made this much more difficult than normal. Lines off several tees are tough to gauge and there are a few blind landing areas to watch out for. Full price rates to the public are a little expensive so get a deal and make the drive. It is on the far wet side of the Vally of the Sun but absolutely worth the drive. This one is on my list of must play courses in Phoenix.

Yesterday we played at 2:47pm on a TeeTime from Golf Now. It was a very special rate. I had previously verified the rate and they had indicated that Verrado had confirmed the rate, THEY DID LET US PLAY at the incorrect rate. Good Custmer Care. We have played Verrado for almost 20 years. Thanks for looking out for the average golfer.

From the bag drop to the cart return this facility and staff are all first rate. Terrific practice area included. Locals were very friendly too. Good food service area. Course is in great shape. Greens are very difficult for a first timer to read with mountains and deep washes everywhere. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful course with a lot of challenging holes. Length is great, but doable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, a great golf course and really enjoying playing it.

Verrado Founders was a great value and checked all the boxes for me- we’ll conditioned , challenging , yet fair and fun. There is good hole variety and generous landing zones off the tee, yet plenty of places where you can get in trouble with a wayward shot. The one minor negative is that there are some blind shots which require experience to navigate.

Got an awesome deal on golf now for a teatime at 3 PM! The starter guide us out 15 minutes early and we were able to play all 18 holes !

The course is in great shape the greens are large and fast ! The staff in the pro shop the assistance and the starter are all friendly and helpful !

Highly recommend playing discourse in the West Valley !

Please understand this is still the one of the best courses I’ve played out of the 96 in AZ so far. However, while playing this time I noticed there was no one enforcing time. There was a foursome of women that backed up everyone so bad that there where three groups at each tee box after the 8th hole. They where each playing two balls and also reputting if they didn’t like there original.

What a real treat it was to play Verrado Founders Golf Course. Excellent condition, absolutely beautiful lay out, scenic holes and enough challenges for a scratch golfer but playable for a high index player. We had both in our group and played from 3 different tees.

Greens are generous and roll nicely. A bit on the fast side which makes it difficult the first time because the mountain influences the read so it will take several rounds to learn how they break. But they were fair and certainly not tricked up. The par 3's are as good as any course I have played and we moved to the back tees for the great taking elevation drop.

Its quite a drive from Chandler but I cannot wait to play here again!

Have played this course multiple times over the last two years and it is by far my favorite in the valley. Course is always in awesome shape, really nice practice facilities, nice pro shop, and very nice restaurant.
